Thats just the thing they still are
choices and if you want you can equip them so i added them to the list. I dont think that adding or subtracting items based on 1 single players opinion of them being "retarded" is a good reason to exclude them from a list of gear that is aiming to be all inclusive.
I find it laughable that you would pass on Wristplates of the Dark Lord if you had the chance to get them if they were an upgrade over your current gear. +dps + ca damage +str/int and great resists. Why would you pass on the gear? Outside of ranged crit the Wristplates are a better choice in EVERY way. If the item was going to rot or if i could get it for a low amount of dkp i wouldnt mind having some in my bags.
For Comparison:
Also for the sake of argument i am going to include Lava Forged Chainmail in this argument. Sure it have very little use for a established raiding ranger that is geared up properly but stranger things have happened. How about if you had a player back from a long hiatus. Wouldnt you want them in some armor that was at least current with very good stats and a little damage help with the + CA damage? They drop at the front of VP and i am sure will be on about 10000 alts before the end of the expansion. It is a very good baseline BP from witch to build up from. It has a great source of Str and Int while they would be alot better with +Ranged Double Attack and CA damage they are not "retarded" in the fact that i would laugh a ranger wearing them out of the raid. Not everyone is lucky with the drops they need and if you can upgrade your current gear than by all means i say do so. Sure there are about 3 legendary chests that are better suited for a ranger but sometimes you just do not get the drops and make the best out of what you have got.
This isnt a list to just have top end pieces. It is a list that includes almost EVERY mob in the t8 raiding scene and any possible relevant drops that those mobs may have on them. A list is not a guide to min/max your ranger. The class is not a uniform and sometimes different playstyles work better for different players. I created the list as a quick resource to identify possible upgrades quickly and
efficiently.
I asked for feedback and suggestions not attacks on the choices of gear i made as being "retarded". Yes i am aware it is a flame site but it does not mean that every list that is created as a resource needs to be argued over. Just accept the fact that not every ranger will see eye to eye with you about gear choices. I am trying to not alienate any segment of the raiding ranger community be it the noob ranger just testing the waters in t1 to the completely mastered out avatar killing raid leader of a prominent raid guild. I looked at your suggestions about the loot and just dont see enough reason to remove any of the items you listed. I do welcome any additions i may have overlooked.
