Best Race for a Ranger?

I have looked through the posts for as long as I could and I couldnt find anything so please dont twist my nipples for not finding whatever post is out there (as I am sure there is one already).

My question is what is a good race for a ranger? I was looking and narrowed it to around 3. What I saw was Wood Elf from the Good side, and Ratonga and Dark Elf from the Evil side (through betrayal).

The biggest comparison I see from both is Wood Elf gets bonuses to ranged and ranged crit which is obviously useful from the ranged scout. Dark Elves and Ratongas get 25% bonus procs to poisons. I can see this being a huge advantage to any dps scout.

I guess this leads to my secondary question and that is, which is better for the ranger dps wise, Ranged Racial Tradition or Poison Expertise (25% more procs)?

Also please please please feel free to offer an option other than what I have listed here. I am looking to utilize the best option possible for myself and any advice is worth looking into for me. Thank you and please keep the ranger flaming as low as possible, they are a class I like to play and dont care that they arent high priority in raiding guilds.

Poison expertise just adds charges to your poisons... meaning it will be instead of having 100 charges of caustic... 125... it does not add dps but saves you money

I get 175 procs per vial of Expert Caustic with conservation :D

Really a good reason to pick ratonga is the 15% in stealth speed +15% more with the MC earing = 30% runspeed in stealth if you like running arround stealthed, 2 melecrit will help your dot/mele based CA's

Dev is the best race for ranger

Unfortunately ... no one makes em anymore

In all honestly play what you want... I say that even though everyone knows people play WElf rangers for FOREST FIRE!!!!!

All kidding aside unless your on a pvp server i think the differences are near to un noticable (cept for rat stealth speed... but i dont run around stealthed or need to)

Playing a Kerran, all joking aside, the racial deaggro they have is kinda nice when you find yourself playing Speedbump for the tank.

I planed out my character's race after they put in the new abilities in the past 5 months or w/e it was and I chose dark elf.
You were right in the 3 top classes.

Dark elf:25% extra poison triggers, saves money.
-deagro: it can resist easily but if you can get it off, you drop a hate position and soem threat.
-fury of innoruck: 30 sec 5 min recast buff that increases casting by 10%, melee and spell crit by 5%, and haste by 30 or something.
-3% power increase

ratonga
-poison triggers
-deagro
-3% power
-small ca?
-2% melee crit?

woodelf
-2% ranged crit
-3% power?
-aoe attack?

so from the options it seemed like dark elf was the best because of the 30 second buff, works well with jc when you are using the other 5 min reuse stuff.
