Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
KK got the acronym tyvm. I did not think it was the Upper Eschelon parse thread that was referred to. Still upon reading all the thread, I have to wait till I get home as I am at work and pull up some old logs to see how I differ. Just trying to get the best setup I can so that way I can help my guild out the best way.

Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
Personally I feel that everyone should be spending 5 points in extended food duration.

Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
I am kinda curious why no one seems to think Perfectionist is better for a group Ranger over Intoxication. I can see the point if you are arguing from a raid perspective, but he said he is not going that route (or rather cannot).
There are very few heroic mobs that will live long enough to get the full duration of Intoxication and heroic content is group heavy, so more and stronger Shower of Arrows and the enhanced Sniper Arrow for the name seems like a sound decision to me.
And honestly, I don't think directing him to a raider parse is going to be much help, I mean from a raid perspective, Bloody Reminder is pretty awesome, but it loses a bit of that when doing a group instance because mobs die so fast, and as mentioned, Shower of Arrows becomes much better due to adds (even Selection).

Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
Any improvements yet? I'm still stuck on the mindset that a ranger without a mythical = poopy when compared to assassins/swashbucklers/brigands. I took my ranger out of retirement to get some shard gear (up to 2 pieces now) and pushed near 2.7K dps zonewide but when compared to assassins, it makes me want to put him back into retirement and continue playing my illusionist. :P

Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
Ok so i got ACT, and the profit ui, i had the Flashstones and the Elixer. Haven't moved aa's yet as it is 10pp to move em now and i'm wating to get a bit overall agreement for a group build. I would raid if i could as i did in eq1 for years but we moved here to this new house and my AT&T aircard can't handle raids (i'm thinking the chat has a lot to do with it) i'll start getting some zone #'s and let you all know.
Thanks again for the help.

5 points into run speed increase

Intox works to maximize DPS, and you are a DPS class. To not maximize the amount of damage you do is to give Ranger's a bad name because you will suck.
Intox > Perfectionism for any argument that matters concerning Ranger's.

Re: non-rading Ranger Goup dps?
my aa setup, breakdown per tree:
Predator:
Strength - 4/6/4/8/1
Agility - 4/6/4/8/1
Int - 5/4/4/8 <---extra point leftover, i just went with a little more int.
Ranger:
poison - 5caustic, 4 fettering, 5 ancillary, 1 in conservation
Focusing - 3defensive, 5 legshot, 5 killing, 5 focus, 5 honed,
1extension
Multishot - 5searing, 5 triple, 5 fittest, 5 shower, 1 double arrow
Fluff shit - 5 pathfinding, 5 trap (trap works as an AE used right)
TSO:
general - This line really doesnt matter imo, i went with 5health, 5 runspeed
Scout - 5 quick strike, 5 sinister strike, 1 endline evasive
Predator - 5 insidious, 5 cut arteries, 4 ignorant bliss, 5 crit mastery
1 endline nox enfeeblement
Ranger - 5 leaping, 5 hidden, 5 arrow reclamation, 2 in exploding, 2 in
ranged mastery.
This is my setup, works well in both groups and raids, some aa's can be moved around to whatever you like.
And as far as the arguments go for Intox > perfectionist, i'm stickin with perfectionist, with the crit modifiers and base damage CA modifiers, Shower of arrows is a beast. It's like one of my top 5 parsers on ACT right up there with bleeding line especially with all the AE encounters. Love getting 15-20k shower hits.
