Absolutely untrue, my ZW hovers +- 3k and my my DPS in fights can be anywhere from 2-6k (depends on the luck of the draw of course).

I'm not even using my fabled epic and find myself nipping the heels of Rogues with their myths (given proper conditions) and certain mediochre preds.

My ranger is just an alt I rolled to keep entertained while off raids, now I no longer raid. The ranger has nothing but T1 void shard and a MC BP. My bow atm is that bloodwood bow of sternum pinching. Not logged into the game but my self buffed DPS mod is like 28 and my haste is at like 85. Things you want to be sure you're doing is using broadhead arrows, make sure you whore all the buffs you can use, time yourself efficiently in terms of Auto Attacks and CAs.

I consider my gear to be ok in terms of low end shit available, but compared to what it could be I'm in the dumps.

Considering TSO I'd rather Perfectionism over Intox. Be it a >45 duration fight or otherwise. Shower of Arrows is pretty golden for encounters and I've yet to see a single trash mob in TSO last over 15 seconds for my groups. As far as nameds go? If its worth a damn it'll last well over 45 and recasting intox is not in my best interrest mid fight.

The Intox line is more than just the poison at the end, it's the crit for your poisons as well, making them better than they normally are. Considering that's the second highest damage output you have, generally, that makes it pretty important wouldn't you say?

Dantel, are you comparing the endlines or the intelligence line and strength line as a whole? by all means, if your talking about the spell crit modifier on the intelligence line, then yes, any ranger SHOULD take this. But when it comes to the endlines, perfectionist > intox.

Your graph even shows that shower of arrows does more damage then noxious venom, the proc from the endline of intoxication and your not even specced perfectionist. With a reuse and damage increaser, the dps on shower and sniper can only go up.

Actually that is wrong

Perfectionist affects 2 CAs: Sniper Arrow and Shower of Arrows:
Shower of Arrows 142
Sniper Arrow 127

Considering that i got alot of jcap and roa on that parse, so the recasts were already lowered (i took factor 1,25 instead of 1,5 for recast reduce) it would basically result in approx following DPS:
Shower of Arrows 142 * 1,15 * 1,25 -> 204
Sniper Arrow 127 * 1,15 * 1,25 -> 183

So perfectionist would increase that parse by approx 120 DPS while Intox did ~140DPS.

Intox wins in fights where it can be precast so its recast already begins before it goes off your attack and where it lasts the whole duration.
But as soon as you have multi-mob encounters or fights that are much shorter than 48sec I would prefer perfectionist.

I just specced perfectionist yesterday to see how that affects my parses.

If that's not what the argument was about sorry I muddied up the waters here lol.

I should clarify that I believe the Intox AA line > the Perfectionist AA line imo.

Since both lines are mandatory anyway the only argument you can have is about the end abilities.
To clarify: when i talk about predator tree i call it int-line and str-line... the last abilities i call intoxication and perfectionist (not intoxication line or whatsoever)

Yeah...I at no point said I didn't utilize a full 8 points in spell crit...or imply that it was a bad idea....When you're <70 you want Agi and Int....but once you get those 20 additional points scrap intox and look into perfectionist.
