So now that people have had a chance to try out the new shard jewelry and cloaks, what is your take on the Trueshot and Revitalized pieces.


Are these pieces any better than things like the Shuddering Earring, Kwagan War Stud, and finally replace the STR imbued MC ring?

I would like to hear from those that have tried the pieces out.

It really depends what your current gear is. I can't recall the exact amounts of rda and rc. All 3 trueshot has about 2 rda and 3 or 4 rc. The proc isn't bad dmg wise. I'd say if at least 2 of the seperate pieces are upgrades for you, you should get the 3rd item for the proc. I havn't looked into this revilatalized set u speak of yet.

I have all 3 - bangle,stud and cloak. The bangle and stud were upgrades for me. The cloak was a lateral move but it gave me the 3 piece proc which is really nice.

The past couple of nights in VP it has been 2% of my ZW.

OK, after reviewing my gear and doing a little math, I would like your opinion.

I am currently wearing these 3 pieces that the 3 Trueshot pieces would replace.

Kwagan War Stud (Ear)
Quartermaster's Clasp (Wrist)
Cloak of Frozen Mana (Cloak)

If I did switch out all 3 for the Trueshot set here is the net stats

STR: +16
AGI: -3
INT: +30
STA: +55
Health: +185
Power: -110
RDA: +3
RCRT: -4
DPS: +6
CA DMG: -40
Spell DMG: -45
Proc: + 1.8 Times a min 900+ Mental DMG

Now, based on the stats, I would say that the Trueshot set would probably give me the most DPS from those 3 slots, but I guess the real question is......

I am not sitting on TONS of Voidshards, and raiding 4 days a week and having a RL (kids, family, and such) does not lend itself to accumulating shards at a rapid rate, so I have to use them wisely.

To have all 3 Trueshot pieces crafted will cost me 39 Shards. I am currently wearing 3 pieces of T1 Shard Armor (Chest, Head, Legs) and 3 Pieces of T2 Shard Armor (Shoulders, Hands, Feet). To upgrade the 3 T1 pieces to T2 would run me 57 Shards.

Considering we should be past Nexona and into clearing the rest of VP by next week or the following week, would my Shards be better spent on upgrading the remaining T1 Pieces to T2, or on the Trueshot set, considering Patterns from VP "should" be just around the corner?

Thoughts?????

FWIW, (it sounds like your play is similar to mine - wife, kids, into VP) I plan on doing VP Chest, legs and helm and Void Shoulders, boots and gloves. None of the jewerly coming out of VP is that astounding for rangers (give or take a few must haves). I went with the truehsot stuff and replaced Amulet Forsworn, Earring of Wastes hunter and the same cloak. Given you def want the chest and legs from VP and the helm is better than void helm, I would spend the shards on the jewelry.

Any chance the t1 and the t2 sets stack if you do 3 of each?

Yes, I have checked ACT and both 3 piece set procs stack.
