Well first off tanks don't taunt for the most part, and second no amount of hate generation by any tank will stop Signet of Betrayal positional hate procs that knock people up to #1 on the hate list, and that's really the only way dps pulls aggro off me on single target these days, with rare exception.

I was just stating a fact (or more specifically something that's about as close to fact as one can come) for the benefit of any retards remaining out there who still don't understand how the item works. I have a woodworker, and while I have nto checked a lot of the bows to see if they stack up "appropriately" with Legendary or Treasured, I can show you what I stumbled on in just a few mins.

EQ2 Fire Imps Longbow - Items - EverQuest 2 Database - MMO DB

Not sure if all of the stats are there. but it is a treasured level 47 bow with +3 ranged and better damage and STR than level 52 Ironwood Long Bow. The ironwood longbow has the proc of course, but the Fire Imp's has +20 CA damage, iirc.

Ironwood has periods of pretty limited availability on my server, so it definitely pays for people to be a little bit aware of alternatives. I suspect that these bow changes will be mostly in the lower tiers, but I am open for anything.

While I will continue to sell the T6 MC bows, I would not recommend them wholeheartedly to guildies or use them myself. Eq2 has always had problems with a few items, but it seems their "renewing of content" has caused them even more problems.

People for whom plat is no problem will continue to gear their toons in a vanilla swathe of the MC gear. It keeps crafters employed.
