I was looking for more info on how this plays into our dps and the only thing I found was over a year old.

Any use for coverage with the TSO updates? Has anything changed with regards to this CA?

Im a noob ranger but I cant get it to work. I use a stealth art, it lights up that it can be used, i back up some for the distance requirement, click it nothing happens, click it nothing happens, then it goes back dark....

I tried again to use this last night in OoA. When I fired off a stealth or rear attack it would light up, and I would get back into stealth when I used it, but 9/10 times I was too close for it to take effect.
When I was far enough away to use it then it worked fine. I can see this as a VERY situational CA, something used only if you happen to be a bit out of range and have a spare stealth attack up. Otherwise a very disappointing 80 CA and not really worth the effort of trying to use.
I did eventually time it where I was popping off melee CAs then ranged CAs as I was stepping back each time my AF fired. Then I would use Coverage and jet back in to close range. Took some effort but I got the timing right, but definately WAY too much work to make this part of my CA line up.

In summary, nothing new to read here, same results as the post a year ago.
This is not the combat art you are looking for.

From what I remember it is pretty useless. Only on mobs where you have to keep a distance will it work effectively. Very situational.

I use this to get in my stealth fire or sniper shot, without losing any AA hits, by doing the following: Using the auto attack bar I wait until it's roughly 3/4 and cast rear shot while backing up. Once rear shot has hit an AA should follow (if timed correctly) followed immediately by coverage. I then hit stealth fire/sniper arrow, which by the time it goes off you should be near to getting another AA in (or be only slightly delayed if using sniper arrow).

I believe Safana first posted this cast order to get max effect from coverage without losing DPS.

This CA is nice for sniper shot on trash or named that wont break you out of stealth, hit either rear shot or fittest survival when you are backing up, they both allow you to move while casting and then hit coverage and move back to 5m range stealthed then hit sniper shot to get mythical bonus.

It allows you try fit as much in between auto attacks as possible. It is a pain in the ass and I hate this CA, but thats the best way ive found to use it.

its only ever any good for a boost to sniper. If I can be arsed to use it I do it the same way as pudaan
