I heard that rangers were soloing ooa so I gave it a try. Thru trial and error I am to the point where I can solo the first room in about an hour with only a death or two. Invis thru the second room. Train down the hallway and break the adds when I'm beside the named. At that point I have about 3 sec to buff and pop my " Signet of Ethereal Form" before the balls reach the named. BUT the aoe appears direct everytime and two shots me. I've tried poping it before I enter the room, before I buff, before I attack, after I attack. Nothing is working and without that Signet I don't see how this is possible. I can burn him in 36sec if I can just get the Signet to work and stay alive. My god spell only offers me about 15sec and that's not enough time. I would prefer not to have to split the coin with a partener. I"m looking for some rangers with some exp with this or ideas on how to avoid that aoe.

my guess is that you avoid that AoE just like you would in a group. Should still be able to solo it, would just take a long time.

As for how to kill him.

Can do the bouncy on orbs as opposed to other way...

Can't say I'm able to solo OoA (only 59 as a ranger), but I might offer a suggestion having tanked it on my Guard many times.

I tend to bounce and collide with the orbs, targeting the named with ranged aa on. I clear orbs and stick arrows in the name's eye.

Perhaps too obvious.

Whats the best/easiest way to do this without clearing part of the 2nd room and kiting them there? Training that hallway didnt work either(for me), they were still following me even after I bounced up to the named. I could kill the named but I cant seem to get down that hallway.

i can solo ooa in 25-30min, i can do the first room in 15min just using the trap and killing the 1 ups first then the 3ups or just use rope on the ups and kill the 1 ups and go back to the 3 ups, invis thru the second room (take the 2 shinies of course) then i wait for the void beast to get to the entrance invis thru him and take off the invis training the shadow ones then sprint into the room jump and get the orbs with my auto attack on the named and kill it then pick the chest and go kill the last named and the last named is easy just keep max range and dont hit it when hes got the shield on. my record was 17min on act but my real best time was 23min +- i belive.

dont need to clear it just invs and get them or just put a trap on the floor and lead the mob near the shinies to it pick the shinie and get back to the entrance and the mob will leash if the shinie is near the portal on the second room the 3 mobs encounter just get near the mobs and get close to the portal they bug and go up the sky just pick the shinie and get to the portal and they will leash if the shinie is near a troll they take long to get up just get the shinie and leash them and thats it simple and easy.

I've always killed the "hallway", but I guess you can leash them. I'll have to try it next time.
