Something AoE based would be real nice.
Temp buff flurry sounds like it would actually fit the spell name/lore,Bow version of one hundred hand punch would fit the 'concept' as well. T
Think I would rather have a it be a temp buff that gives the auto attack or even CA's a chance to AE though. Whooping the shit out of a single mob is not exactly high on my list of problems

OR something much like triple attack but the -2nd, 3rd, 4th.....X- wont automatically miss if the prior does.

My standing idea has always been to turn the damn thing into a temp pet sort of thing...or since they are doing away with that, essentially a ranged dot with a pet graphic. Upon using this skill, we throw out a small wooden object that pops open into a small mechanized crossbow that starts to fire bolts at everything nearby. Bam, a ranged, aoe dot.
Another option would be to turn it into a buff that cuases our AA to proc a stream effect. As in, each time out AA hits, x number of arrows follows after that each do a constantly lower amount of damage. At the max level of the highest version of the spell, it would essentially give our attacks a quintuple shot proc. The damage would be 50% of our AA damage for the first shot, 25% for the second and 10% for each shot there after.
These extra attacks would persist through CA and other AA until the ffect expires. Though, I am fairly certain that this version would require a significant decrease in the duration. Maybe down to 10-15 seconds?

While this is so much a good idea, this description of SoA almost made me pee myself.
I think any change to SoA should bring it more in line with our class as it has been defined by SOE over the last few expansions.
Make SoA a self buff that procs extra arrows on each AA with a recursive chance to proc. In other words, for 30 seconds all of your AA have a % chance to proc SoA which would give you an automatic instant second AA (like a double attack) which would also have a chance to proc, etc etc. up to 5 consecutive procs on one attack. Or better than that, the AA line would allow you to gain up to 8 procs, base would be 3.
Not overpowering but useful and still in line with the nature of our class (no pun intended)
Damn, SOE should hire me.

This would be the equiv of a possible 50-80k on every auto attack every 4 seconds for the duration of the spell. That's like 12.5 - 16k DPS without CA's.

You will rarely ever hit all 8 shots, more likely you will hit 2 or 3. And the reuse timer can be adjusted to balance this a bit.
I know, SOE wont go for it, but they aren't listening to anything else so why not shoot for the moon?

What about my suggestion? It seems as though it would be considerably less...over powering. Say your AA does 2k damage, the next shot would do 1k followed by 500 then 250, 250, and 250. Still adds a good bit of dps, but not really that much. I think it would give you, in that situation, 2,250 extra damage. Pretty much like a crit, neh? Thing is, there is no guarantee that each of the hits would...hit.
Perhaps to balance it out, the stream shots would only use your base AA damage to calculate it's damage, meaning it ignores crits. You must also keep in mind that the five extra shot proc would only be available at the master version of the level 74 CA. Three extra shots for the ad3 version of the 55 ca, 4 for the master, 4 for the ad3 version of the 74, and 5 for the master. Lasts 15 seconds or 5 procs of the spell. Damage is only based upon non-crit AA hits. Cannot proc off of CA.
