Thread: Kiting...

Not sure if this belongs in the noob section, but I've played various MMO's and I'm not quite used to the whole "locked combat" nature of EQ2.

My question is, is there a trick to kiting? I seem to get hit quite a bit when I try it, even while snaring. I'm only level 37 so are there spells that we get to make this easier?

Being that you're only 37, Im not sure how much of this stuff you have access to but run fettering poisons (snaring) when trying to kite, and try to stagger your use of ensnare and snaring shot. Dont burn them back to back. You wont get snaring shot until lvl 44 or so, i think. That skill alone makes kiting a good bit easier.

Ah, I see. Thanks so much for the suggestions. This is exactly what I was looking for!

It will get easier as u level, especially when you get to your ranger AA tree and put 5 points into snaring shot.
