You can petition for a new Kilij, many Rangers have and have gotten it (myself included just before I left Najena). Just let them know you're aware that other Rangers have recieved it.

Really? Just want to make sure, since I dumbly went for the Cutlass as well way back in the day. It's my own fault for not fully reading the description, so I have no-one else to blame for it but me, but when I got my Claymore Rewards I just assumed the proc on the 1hander was melee only, like every other bloody weapon.

But if /petition actually works and they'll change it for a Kilij...

My initial petition failed. I added to it stating 'sorry to bother you again blah blah, but would please reconsider your decision based on the fact that other Rangers I know on this server have had their reward changed'. Next time I loged in and checked I had a message from a Senior GM stating they had changed the weapon over and placed it in my inventory. They also stated it would not be changed again under any circumstance.

This was some months ago now and part of my argument was EoF AA's, item proc changes etc. Not sure how amenable to this argument they are now.

While they wont agrue with you, they will tell you that you have had your claymore reward for too long for them to do anything about it. However, if you are relentless, continue to update your petition, and repeatedly mention the fact that this change has been made for many a ranger world wide.

I had to go through this process, and got my account flagged with a warning for threatening to contining to petition until I got my desired results. Each time they told me they couldnt help me, and they would mark the petition solved, I'd comment again telling them that the issue wasnt solved, basicly re-opening the petition. I got the same bullshit answer 5 times or so before I snapped and got ugly. Calling them out on their lazy, "Im sorry, but we cant help you" line of crap doesnt make them happy

I did however get my Kilij, so if you bitch long enough.. you'll get someone that speaks english well enough to swap the reward.

i picked it up today and crits were pretty sweet for the poison and it seems to proc from ranged. No one in guild wanted it so i saved it from the transmuter..

BTW lesca i got my kiji changed just after Christmas..
