Proc weapons

I have a question based on this proc deffinition:

On a successful attack:
Any melee attack, ranged attack, damage-based combat art

What I am looking for is another weapon for the off hand slot that would offer a ranged attack proc. Currently the Waning Moon Cutter is in main hand.

I had read somewhere that weapons like the Qeynos Kilij and the Waning Moon Cutter function as the definition describes and give up the proc on ranged attacks/combat arts (took Qeynos Cutlass reward

and havent had the chance to actually test Waning Moon Cutter yet). In the same thread I read that not all weapons with this proc definition will actually proc off a ranged attack.

Is this true? If it is, can anyone throw out some weapons they know actually function as the definition describes.

The weapon descriptions don't actually mean anything, they're just there for retards to enjoy.

Weapons that proc off ranged weapons:
Any weapon/shield that is just a status affect proc. IE. Stun, Root, Stifle.
Iceforged Sai
628 Rapier
Qeynos Cutlass
Qeynos Kilij
Waning Moon Cutter
Utrkls shield of striking (or whatever the fuck it's called.. it's a shield)
Buckler of the Howler (another shield)

These are currently what I've run across.

The 628 doesn't proc as often as the Kilij, which sucks, although it averages 1500+ a proc during raids. Adornments on melee weapons will never proc off your bow.

You can petition for a new Kilij, many Rangers have and have gotten it (myself included just before I left Najena). Just let them know you're aware that other Rangers have recieved it.

It's a specific named, Knubed. Wasn't the only t5 shared loot tables in SoTL?

I don't remember contested having a shared loot table back then, the game designers were pretty creative and managed to create a lot of named specific loot... compared to how things are now at least.

i cant remember but i m almost positive some stuff were shared, extraplanar girdle or that battlement of mind ring could drop from multiple raid mob.
i might be wrong thou it s been such a long time.

It drops from Vazgok the Cursed, 54 x4 epic in Feerot, just down from the entrance to CT

edit: Knubed too? I guess it does possibly come from a shared loot table, then... I saw it drop from Vazgok once, but declined bidding on it. This was before I was told that it proc'ed on ranged

I got mine off Alangria. it is shared by many of the T5 contested.

I've never seen it drop off anything other than knubed, nor heard of it doing so.

after much testing, i've decided i like the 628 more then the kilij in terms of the proc, they seem to go off near the same amount, but the 628 is capable of hitting much harder, in my testing at least.

628 hits harder, yes. But it procs less. The Kilij is better, unfortunately either the 628 doesn't proc as much as it should or the Kilij procs more often than it should..
