Alright, I'm what some might call a casual raider. Raid 3 nights a week doing KoS stuff until people are geared up to do other things.

DPS isn't a problem because I'm one of the top 5 parsers zone wide using the Torn Ligament Bow from Unrest and our summoned ammo. Doing around 1200-1300 zone wide on Labs/LoA and 1100-1200 zone wide in HoS/DT, so not too shabby.

My question is that right now I am using the hood from Vaults (Pathfinding Cowl I think it's called?) and I'm wondering what should I look to replace this with. Granted it's on the low side when it comes to Ranger usable stats but the proc is what I would consider awesome with the 2.8% ranged crit chance.

if your raiding labs look for the Nemesis hat drop from their for a simple stat upgrade. the 2.8% ranged crit proc on the pathfinder's cowl doesnt make it better imo.

KoS choice of hats were kind of limited imo. best choices from what I remember was just Relic, Nemesis, and 3p chain hat.

so unless you can kill 3 princes I'd look for the nemesis out of your KoS options.

I dont know much about EoF gear, sorry.

Well I do have the Kithicor cowl...just not sure the stats of that off the top of my head is the prob.

I'm using the Fearling Tot Bulb Bone - STR and INT on that iirc.

I personally used the vaults hat until i got crown of cynosure and eventually the set helm. I really don't think theres anything better than the crit it gives.

That was my thought process.

I'm gearing up very slowly and I figured the best thing I could do is get as many "Ranged Crit" items as I could. Mixing and matching Relic with the EoF Legendary and such to keep that 2% chance on that, have the adornments for both gloves and the belt and then I'll have my MoA item in a week and a half.

Any other quest or items that can be obtained in a group or two that can help me out would be great. I did the Tunare's Earring for the extra 8 DPS and I have both the DPS adornments.

IMO 3% crit chance is worth losing a bit of str and int, if your stats are relatively well buffed at that point.

I can't say off hand what they are buffed since they change depending on my group.

Unbuffed I'm at 498 STR and 262 INT.

I know the Vaults hat has 15 STR but no INT on it. And I know the Relic/Nemsis have better stats but I'm not entirely sure which and how much better.

Oh and thanks, I'll stick with the Vaults hat for awhile then, just wanted to confirm my own thinking on this one.

The Fearling Tot Bulb-Bone is the best ranger KoS hat imo. 24str 29int 4ranged. its tradable so might be on broker.
