Anyone use the 'iceforged Sai' with 628?

ATM I have the 628 sitting in the bank as I use the Qeynos 1 hander and a shield. I've read about the iceforged sai and I am curious if anyone use the 628 in combination with it.

Seems like a ideal combo to me, but i'm curious if its worth the camp. Anyone?

The Iceforged Sai is only marginally better than the Maestro's Flame, so it really wouldn't be that much better than the 628/maestro's combo except on group encounters.

i love my buckler of the howler, but that proc on flame is nice

To answer your question, yes. I have the claymore 1 hander/ howler, but i often switch to 628/iceforged when i have plenty of dps buffs. The combo works out nice. I haven`t seen the 628 beat my iceforged yet in a zonewide(fth, mmis, eh) where i used both the entire time. Just as an example last night we did fth. I used the combo up til malconis( ae`ing bats = bad) , but up to that point iceforged had done 40k damage compared to 628 at like 30k.

I assume the Iceforged Sai won't double proc if you equip two of them?

I find the kilij often doing alot more than this on raids, and the dps buff also adds it, but u wont directly see that except through pierce %

It will, if you can get your hands on 2 its an excellent combination for groups of mobs like avatar or contested Mayong adds.

Hmm considering it took me three months of killing Zalak once or twice a week to get my proccing shield I'm not exactly over excited about farming another T5 zone but would someone mind telling me who drops the sai?

I'd been thinking of a 628 / waning moon duo to replace my current kilij/uktrl, shredder has still never dropped the buckler and it would save me and the MT fighting over it when it does drop.
