Default Re: Auto Attack Timing

I have combat chat box filled only with my auto attack Hits, misses, and crits. All my CA's are ordered 2 by 2 usually by similar casting and recast time. Use /weapon once the final grps are set up and make any adjustments neccesary (usually however i keep the same pattern). Then watching the combat chat i roll 2 arts after each AA eventually after practice you can really do it without looking and the chat box is only used when you lose your rhythm.

All this act pluglin shit or w/e would prolly just confuse the shit outta me, when trying to sett it up. i keep it basic.

I got it working, but what is your delay in milliseconds or whatever? I left it at 100, also, do you keep the beep sound for both attack and dbl attack?

I left my delay at 100 as well. I keep it off for double attacks and on for single attacks. All this means is that whatever sound you use for a single hit does not differ from a double hit. So youl still get the sound for a double attack, and if you listen closely (hard to tell) it will beep twice really fast, but you just don't get a different sound if you double attack.

Also from what ive been noticing, it does seem to be picking up misses as well and beeping. If yours is not playing a beep try re-loading the plug-in I linked.

I tried using that double attack mod they had for ACT but it would never trigger a sound.

I just use the Regex portion they have for Triggers/Sounds and it's been working just fine.

I did however need to get a WAV file to use, that system beep is rather annoying (and loud if you have WAV turned to max on sound).

So, if you want to know how to do the regex for sound triggers I have something to help.

I dont know what the regex would be for a miss but I'll fiddle with it later and see if I can come up with something, that way you'll know when you miss too.

If anyone wants the WAV file I use for this let me know and I'll try to upload it somewhere for DL. It's a pretty good one, a slight ding sound that is soft enough not to annoy, even with melee auto attack

Wouldn't it make sense to add in a custom trigger for .*?YOU miss.* as well? A swing is a swing, regardless of whether or not it hits.

Playing with this now for a second time. The first time was short lived as all I heard was a stream of annoying beeps. One slower weapon and a couple of less painful WAVs later and I'm ready to try this feature again.

I had to search for a custom wav because the beep was annoying. I wasn't sure if you could do a regex for misses but I guess I couldn't see why not.

I have noticed though that my ACT lags just a little on sound. My basis for that was that my text in game would show me hitting before the beep went off, and it's said that the text never lags.

It's way easier to just turn off third party damage so you can see yours only, that way you can see when u get an auto attack clearly, and you also see your misses, which is important so youre not sitting there waiting 1 or 2 seconds too long for a beep to come that isnt coming, then youre all "oh shit i missed one and now im just sitting here like a tard waiting for the beep to tell me to use my CAs again"
