Can be useful on mobs that fear, especially if you know when the fear is coming. Druushk is good example, when add pops you know fear is gonna come, hit SoA, root yourself and keep up the dps. Just remember to knock it off when everyone else stops running around like muppets.

I use it for Tangrin sometimes. But it just keeps you from getting feared all over the place, the stream shots are not going off while being feared.

yeah it was changed about a year ago if not longer. it used to keep going off during fear. hell when it first came out the mob could be 1m in front of you and it would still be goin off. killed many a heroic solo in dof that way back in the day

I normally don't use the CA either, but last night i was fighting a warden, i got the jump on him, but he managed to heal back from 4% health left and I ran out of range CAs while he started regenning, now i was pretty far away, a good 40 meters. So I said wth I activated it, and it did an amazing job, slowed the warden's heals, while saved me power, and kept the warden in orange. I managed to run the warden out of power and keep him standing/healing, by doing my set of range attacks, activate SoA while i wait for them refresh.

Its uses are limited, but critical sometimes I guess.

I think it's great for when your shit is down, IF you don't have mythical. Cause those huge auto attacks from mythical > stream of arrows.

It's only good on that mob in VP that's rooted with the statues if all the mit debuffs fall off, and of course for being utterly lazy.

I don't even have that crap CA on my hot bar anymore, I haven't for a lonnnng time. Your normal ranged CAs and even melee CAs are way better for in between auto attacks than SoA, easier to control and more dps from them.

To be honest, the only time I can EVER see myself using SoA is if all my ranged and melee CAs are down at the same time, which shouldnt happen anyway for more than a second or so, which is too short of a time to cast and get a hit in with SoA without running into autoattack time.

I found myself using the M1 version (No I didn't pay for it, it dropped) against Druushk and Maestro. Quite useful. I was doing around 2,5k dps with it while it was on against maestro.
