Rangers-Stream of Arrows

Why in the name of all that's holy in Norrath would a ranger want to use, let alone admit to buying, this combat skill? It's suppose to root, stun, blur the caster's vision leaving you open for an attack and if you're stunned ya cant do anything else but stand there. Even in a group this doesnt seem like a good skill to be using in public

Anybody have any clues? Rangers already get dissed enough and I dont wanna add,"I had this Ranger in our group who stood there while we tried to take out Do'Ellin!" Causing me to be the ridicule of all Norrath and putting more bad Karma on all rangers near and far.

I always thought this was a great skill when I played a ranger back in T6 but also back then every arrow shot would proc from posion. I still think its good in T7 for raid mobs but I havent played a ranger in all of T7.

it still procs poison, and you can use it while feared.. i have the master, i like it.. and i will use it.. lots of rangers wont.. but i will =-) i play my ranger a very specific way, and stream fits in nicely =-)

Are we talking group, solo, first hit, last hit, cuz ya aint doin nothing else when you use it for a bit...lol

umm they would prolly use this as much as swashbucklers use hail of steel

if a fight needs to be ranged, i think hail of steel is a bit more class defining when it comes to ranged attacks between the two classes.

i call it my lazy spell, i can click it do about 500 dps with it and go get a drink or w/e...

but i adept3d it, i like the spell and i use it a lot, when everything is down i click that til stuff comes back up. it used to be sooooooo much better,

when you clicked it before you would shoot through stun stifle fear mez etc.
also it would hit close range if someone got too close.

now it sux for the most part pvp its almost pointless (helps to stay on a healer if your being taunted heh) but if your target gets too close it wont hit them if you get stunned or anything it wont hit em. was SOOOO much better back in DoF days. shouldnt have been changed.

I use it to take a quick AFK and still add some damage or if I was a goonbah and I am running low on power at the end of a long fight. Now that I joust a lot more, I tend to run low on power more.

So yeah, it has a couple of uses. I call it my.. Lazy Button.

it seems to be proc;ing off of every hit, or having the chance to

i have teh m1 and with that and grandmasters i can ususally do 800+ dps with it...

and it lets me go get cookies!

Stream is great as a filler while other ranged arts refresh, and/or between auto-attacks.

I tried 5 aa's in stream after reading a thread here. Fairly noticeable improvement.
