It really makes me wanna cry when I have to ask another class if they're using such and such a spell and for the love of GOD please don't cast on the pull!!
Seriously, HOW do you get to the level cap and know nothing about your class?

Nope just poking at your statement. I know I can do my job when the time comes.
I remember being in RoV a month or so ago with a 30ish tank who thought our Coercer was a healer.

In the week after KoS expansion, my set xp group would hit up HoF every day. Everyone in the group was on the same program except for the coercer, who would rarely be paying a whole lot of attention. After about the 25th time that he died on the pull of the Skarize Centurians, he started whining. The whole group laughed their asses off because once we figured out they had a frontal AE, I began to snare them on the pull giving them plenty of time to hit the coercer before they were in position.
This was fair, of course, because when he got bored on raids he would mem wipe the mobs.

Yea I used to get that a lot when I was younger. I still think my fav is while I was working on writs in Bonemire there was a swashy who was watching me ( btw he was lvl 68 ). I the got a tell that said "YOUR DPS SUCKS!!!! I would never role a Defiler. Either you dont know how to play a defiler, or you as a "SCOUT" class they just really suck!
[ insert sarcasim ] WHA HUH!!!! This is a news flash to me.. Defilers are scouts now. Boy was I WAY OFF!!! I better study my wards again.. maybe they are some kind of powerful damage dealer or something I didnt know about? Man and for 70 lvls I thought I was a HEALER! I felt like saying WOW you have sneak I didnt know tanks had sneak!
How can someone go this long and not know this... could there be that few of us that he has never grouped with one? I mean come on I dont expect everyone to know the in and outs of what I do, what my buffs do, etc. But at least know what we do... I dont know all the ins and outs of a rouge... but at least I knowt hey are scouts.

That would be because people can solo from 1-70 without ever grouping. This game doesn't force groups like it did in EQ1, and thus, removes the "group mentality" from the playerbase.

Hi kisy!!!!
I think alot of people are thrown off by the chain. "Healers" come in leather or plate, the chain confuses people lol!

This is very true. I keep forgetting about that, because while I do solo some, I am pretty much all about the grouping.
Still, it just blows my mind that someone, even soloing, can get to level 70 and know NOTHING about other classes. The defiler as a scout one being one of the biggies. I mean seriously... You at the very least see the other classes when you're in creation. * boggle *
It's hard to remember sometimes that not everyone takes the time to read up on the game and learn about it to play better. * shrug * I'm just spoiled like that.

Re: Being lvl 70 means nothing....
I remember when I used to play my Coercer on more then 3 occasion I would get a group invite, get to the group, and then be told, "oh my bad, I thought you were a healer"
How the hell do you confuse Coercer with a healer? Looks sort of like Conjuror which obv is not a healer. Confused with Defiler because it ends in "er", ugh.

Re: Being lvl 70 means nothing....
nah, when i was a newb way back in the day, inquisitors and coercers were so uncommon that i would confuse them. besides, my first character was from qeynos. so when you're leveling in blackburrow and stormhold and these classes are rare to begin with and from the other side of the world... they're even less common.
