...uh...I honestly don't know if I should tell you how you're anon or not. Still, the main 3 fields could be filled and still you would be anon...but I digress.

The main 3 fields generally need to be filled for you not to be considered anon.

The name fields are nothing but clutter that otherwise diminish from the over all aesthetic feel of the forum layout.

I could pretty be considered anon too, but I'm not, I doubt most people know my character or guild's name

That's what I'm saying. As long as we know your character/guild/server, it doesn't really matter.

I have my server and character name listed. He has nothing. I agree that I am as anon as he is, but people know where I play etc.

Depending on the city, those might be good odds.

Essentially though yes, any poll ends up being a popularity/anti popularity and relies on people's familiarity with the offender. I wouldn't have considered Lao a spammer before because I don't pay attention to who posts spam. I'm also not inclined to vote one way or the other if I don't see a capitol offense. People against him though are likely to be more than happy to vote against him. You're going to catch grief no matter what, better to catch if for a judgment you're willing to stand by than a de facto lynching.
