Well fuck. if google says coon isn't a furry critter what lives in the woods out back ... then I guess I've been misusing the word all these years. I hope that fat coon didn't get offended or anything.
BTW, according to those links, there's lots of words we wont be allowed to use anymore. Not to mention the fact that as we stop using those, more words will be added to the list. I think its best if we keep saying the really bad ones often enough so folks don't forget what a real racial slur is.
