No doubt they are not to be trusted. Idrovo, you'll get yours if you continue to try and defend them.... why don't they just come here and defend themselves if they are so good and correct? You obviously are able to speak to them at the moment since you know they are such "great players" *cough cough*
Great job digging up the post fro 7 months ago Dreadfoot. I wish I could dig some up from a year ago, but alas, they are long gone, back when Iltuk already had a "wonderful" reputation form the bullshit he caused in the Independent Raiders. Let's be clear on something though, all this cash and master spells Iltuk and Modesty placed in the Blackguard bank were not his. Don't forget Idrovo.. he was raid leader, so no trade items not used by current raid force, master spells not needed etc he looted, then put in the bank. Does this make them his? I think not, they are the raid/guilds. When Blackguard first started raiding on their own, it was becasue they (though it was really Iltuk's doing) were only able to do so because the alliance helped build his toon with first loot option for several months preceeding that (8-10 months, not precisely sure). I was once an officer in the IR, but one day Iltuk came along and decided he had enough members to raid on their own, and disbanded it on the spot. Deleted the posts on the GP web page. Kicked all the people who were on it. Milek had been working on a new site, which was just about ready, and when it was, end of IR with no notification to the half a dozen other guilds in it.
Now for the loot and greedy part, IR was in process of going DKP instead of an open roll system. With no notification, Iltuk decided to tell all on a raid (Lyceum if I recall) at the end that everything looted would be put into the "DKP Bank", which, of course was the Blackguard bank. For the next two weeks or so, people that did not leave immediately begain to earn some points to then spend on said items, which were never clearly listed to the non BG members, and then blam, site gone. As a result, several raids worth of items were then in the Blackguard bank to start off Iltuks little cache to use to entice several newer BG recruits to join, while the allianc emembers were just screwed out of their time. (This was in Nov of 06, aroudn 4 months previous to Dreadfoot's log). I was finally able to corner him after a week or so, hsi reason given was similar to what he tol dDreadfoot of l;eavin gBlackguard. Too much stress to lead an alliance, time to find another place to raid since no one listened to him or jumped off an island in KoS because he thought they might kill something if they landed on the mob just right.
This is all in the past, and is over, I am simply adding a little fuel to the fire as an example of the way they will use anyone that is suckered into it at their convienence. When Iltuk first started taking all the loot, I posted in the officer forums, asking why, and to explain himself, his excuse was "I have a language barrier I cannot explain"... but posted a page long essay anyway. when I picked it apart point by point (much like I did Oxnarde a few months ago on this site, he still my #1 Retard King vote) Modesty, usually the "passive officer" that no one even knew had access to the officer forums arranged to have me removed from officer so I could no even respond, without council vote which the alliance was built upon composing of leaders/officers in the participating guilds.
They are extremely manipulative, and greedy. If you choose to group/guild/raid with them, I'd be careful not to give them much if any control, and well, if you think they are good players, well, time for you to start reading the class forums to get a clue as well, or perhaps make a big pot of coffee as you will surely need it.
Some like to be famous for being President, a rock star, actor... these two found an easier way and get known for being among the largest assholes ever to populate the Nektulos/Lavastorm server. Grats. Now it appears they are spreading their reputaion on Splitpaw... sorry guys, but hey, better you than us
