Incoming first Rate-a-Retard thread!
Just a little intro, I play on Nagafen (PvP). When you do certain things to someone on Nagafen (such as mez, stun, root, stifle, daze, charm, or basically any control effect) they become immune to it for the duration x2. So at 70, a single target mez would last 20 seconds, and you would be immune to it for 40 seconds.
Now that we have this out of the way, I introduce you to Knuks, a level 32 Coercer. He says he knows what he's talking about, because he's a badass coercer with like 150 kills.
I switched toons, so the conversation is only from one of my toons. Knuks believes that he can encounter mez me, and then single target mez me without running into any issues with immunity. His reason is that because the encounter mez requires a thoughstone to cast, it is on a different immunity timer than the single target mez.
Looking back on his knowledge of the coercer class, I bring you the next few screenshots:
Back on topic:
So I went out there, he was 32. I was 20. I taunted him so he could do his thing, and he group mezzed me.
At his level the group mez lasts 7.5 seconds in PVP combat. So he waited for it to break, and right when it did.. he casted his single target mez. Immune flashed over my head!
Fraps:

The fraps is shitty quality, I know. It doesn't like to record the resolution I play EQ2 in very well, and YouTube doesn't help it much.
Anyways, after the first mez wears off you can see immune flash over my head. Shortly after the video ends he did mez me again, because the immunity wore off.
gg tbh.
