Have you guys even fucking PLAYED a beastlord lately?

Stuff that I used to solo no problem, I'm having a hard time with, and this is with a serious gear upgrade.

You want a slower - get a shaman
You want crack? - get a chanter.

BL aren't fantastic at just one thing, but a jack of all trades on a few. Before you complain, fucking play one first.

I - LOVE - my beastlord, but there's no way she could take the place of a tank, healer, mezer, or buffer. You want the best for the job? Hands down, you grab the class suited for it.

I play my BL when I want to solo. And even then, if you're not on the top of your game, it can get challenging. They might have nerfed it class a bit since I created her, way back when, because now, I can't even touch the stuff I used to.

It's not really the Beastlord people hate - it's the people asking for them because they know or 'have heard' how overpowered in groups and solo they used to be. I hate all the fucking idiots asking for them thinking they will be 'teh rulest' class too.

Most of the people asking can offer no suggestions as to where or how they would fit with the exisiting classes or have any idea about how they would balance. They just want Beastlords and they want 'em now.

Fuck 'em.

Ah, beastlords. I'd be highly surprised if they EVER added BLs to the fold. I played one in EQ and I rather liked them, but I do things for the fun factor, and I'm easily entertained, my bad.

People are already complaining about having too many classes as it is and the game is what 2 years old? Which is prolly why they add playable races and not classes. Adding playable races is cool for a day or two, then you realize that its just the same ole same ole. Dont need a new race if all you have is the same gameplay. Do i think just cuz EQ and EQ2 share lore they're gonna start backin up to add a beastlord? No. If they were it woulda been done it already.

I could give a rats ass how well they fit into a group/raid. I could care less how overpowered they may have seemed. As far as I'm concerned the only difference a BL had over a mage with a pet is that they can take a hit. Whoopity doo. I just thought it was a nice idea. Oh well EoF is comin out and maybe adding a whole continent will spark things up, eh?

And usually its in the same thread where they say that there's too many classes that they want to add f'ing beastlords. And when you challenge them on it because BLs were totally overpowered at the beginning they make up some lame shit about why they want BLs. "Lets get rid of 12 classes and add the beastlord".

I mostly want to play a beastlord cause I was a creature handler in SWG. They were anything BUT overpowered after the big CH Nerf (was when doc buffs and armour wasn't experimented on so much either). So after the CH Nerf and the ever more potent doc buffs, armour and weapons, CHs were just about useless in combat. But I still loved my creature handler.

But I'm not getting my hopes up of playing a creature handler again, err I mean playing a beastlord in EQ2.

The argument of "Oh, they were so overpowered..." can go sod off. Play one NOW, not then. Then come talk to me.

Twelve classes are a lot, yes. Besides, the developers have already said they're not going to place any new classes in until they balance the classes we have.

Which is like, you know...never. The day we see class balancing is the day God smokes a fatty with Satan while chucking snowballs at Jesus.
