I was a great monk/bruiser, a shitty/terrible/horrible/crappy/uninspired dirge and I'm not doing too bad as an assassin thank you very much. Unless 3k+ zw's on average requires/exposes a "lack of actual skill".

The only reason I played a dirge, period, was to play in Dissolution. It was play a dirge or quit in my mind. I hated the class, I didn't want to be good at the class and it showed. I showed up, that was about it.

I've also never contested that fact. Everyone knows I was a shitty dirge.

Luckily for me, I suppose, that being a good dirge != being a good assassin.

Oh and just because I forgot to put it in my previous post, LFG was pointed towards Dissolution by me, when Cracatoa pissed him off and he quit Amend.

So if the whole LFG and I being guilded together a lot proves anything, its that we're friends who look out for each other, /shrug.

You can check any of the parses I've posted. 1700 as a DPS class in IS is fucking pathetic. Fuck, as a Dirge I do that regularly in a non dps group.

MMIS just a few nights back, straight from ACT

Douchebag has his EQ2Players.com profile blocked, but needless to say, he's at 3 set pieces, doesn't have legs, has Vine-Wrapped Boots, no proc rings yet, Crystal Gift, Wand of Crystallized Plasma, and that's about it worth mentioning.

So, let's see your parses from the same point into the expansion...he's been raiding for 2 months.

1752 dps from a dirge (support class) compared to 1792 dps to wizard (pure dps class). Does anything else really needs to be said? I don't think so but let's talk it over anyway. Illuminator's new character has been 70 for at least 2 months now. In my time in SD we had 2 power levelled characters (both illusionists) who within hitting 70 joined the guild and got pretty decently decked out after 2-3 weeks max. And i'm not talking about the top end game gear, just set gear, dmg proc items you can easily get within a week or 2 and other stuff like ring of the four winds, soulfire, etc etc. If you're not a clown it doesn't take long at all to get your hands on these items. So the lack of gear is no fucking excuse for sucking.
As a wizard, you can parse very well only with 5 set pieces, a few dmg proc items that are once again easy to get and with a troubador, you don't even necessarily need an illusionist to be close to 3K third floor EH.
