Customer Service (A poor, stuck shiny) - Page 4

While I'm laughing at the originality of the post and CS's response, I have to say that making pointless petitions doesn't just waste SOE's time, it wastes other players' time as well. You see these petitions pile up and it can take forever for SOE to get around to answering them. This past weekend when Fens was buggy and rolling people back, I had a guildie who lost 3 levels of Adept 3 spells she made and just scribed. Not sure why, she just got rolled back randomly and lost like 15 minutes of game play, which sadly included the creation and scribing of her Adept 3s. Since she actually TSed them on another character that was not rolled back, she didn't get the rares back either. Just lost the spells from her journal and they did not go back into her bags.

So she petitioned, more than 48 hours later they have not gotten to her petition. I imagine they are backlogged from how buggy the zone was this weekend and the number of people having been rolled back accidently by this bug. Would be nice if they could focus on that rather than dealing with petitions about a shiny stuck in the air... don't ya think?

Have you never wiped a group be breaking invis simply because you must have that dangerously placed shiney?

they fixed that re-target thing already didn't they? (where you target one harvestable item then switch to another one while casting and collect that one instead even if its stuck)

Yes its not SoE's fault that they backed up because they have a buggy game its OUR fault cause we complain when their buggy game is broken.

I have doubts that they set shiny spawn points. They're probably just generated at a random x&z location then fall from the sky, and then when they hit something, they stick and become visible. It's the easiest way to code random locations.

Assuming they want to fix this "problem", the easiest way for EQ2 to fix this is to have shinys have their own dummy collision layer that is not visible to the player and is only in areas where they want to shinys to stick too. If the shiny misses that layer, it will fall through the world and can respawn again in a random x & z location.

Numbnuts, nobody is saying valid petitions should not be addressed and bugs should not be fixed. This was (1) not something that should have been petitioned, but rather bug reported and (2) it was completely fucking pointless and done to be a wiseass... funny, hell yeah, but really pointless and a drain on resources that could be used to address real problems.

And in answer to another question, no I've never broken invis and harvested a shiny and wiped my group EVER. I'm usually the guy cussing the fucking addicts that break invis to harvest a shiny and wipe us!
