Ah, the retardation of SOE's handpicked "customer service representatives" knows no bounds, as proved conclusively by this site. I have a story of more of their incompetence, lack of pride in their service, and complete lack of knowledge of the game they represent.
A couple of days ago I was striding the lengths of Fens, on the hunt for some shiny goodness, when I came across an aberration of nature.
Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, this is a fucking shiny... in the air. Well, because I'm a stingy asshole, I wanted to get that fucking shiny. It could have been a rare one that I needed, or that sold for twenty plat on the broker... or it could've been one of the shitty ones that everyone has and sells for ten copper. Either way, the thrill of gambling took me: I wanted that motherlickin' shiny.
So, using my right to waste SOE's precious time, I decided to /petition my way to that shiny, as I sure as hell couldn't reach it from the ground. I posted them a petition (which I neglected to save, I didn't expect be posting this thread at that time) saying that I had found a shiny stuck in the air at the location that I posted, and that I kinda wanted to get it down and add it to my collection.
After more than a few hours, I got their reply...
Indeed, they wanted "shiny" to post his own ticket to get down. I tried asking the stuck collectible to post its own petition, but I didn't get any response from him.
Seriously, are SOE's GMs so fucking retarded they think that me asking about a "stuck shiny I'd really like to gather" is me posting on behalf of a stuck player? It's not like shiny is some obscure player slang, like calling a collectible page a "flappy" or long cooldown emergency spells "OH SHITS!" No, shiny is pretty commonly used, in fact, used by SOE themselves in the Rise of Kunark advertising for the pre-order Burynai, claiming that it could "find shinies hidden under your house you didn't even know existed."
I think it's retarded that SOE can't hire GMs that have actually played the game and don't assume that everyone they're dealing with is a retard.
