2) Recruit all straight EQ players to our debauched lifestyle,
3) Destroy all healthy heterosexual marriages,

2:30 PM Get forty winks of beauty rest to prevent facial wrinkles from
stress of world conquest
4:00 PM Cocktails
5:00 PM Light Dinner (soup, salad, with Chardonnay)
6:00 PM Everquest
11:00 PM Bed
Which actually really sucks for me because I'm not a morning person.

In all honesty, I think I can say that no straight guy wants a shim hitting on him.

I think if you look above at my posts, you'll see that I was joking.
I don't even have a shred of leverage to criticize anyone about anything they play or do when it comes to the gender of their toon.

Thankfully there are people out there with enough sense to realize that when someone's role-playing, they're not hitting on YOU, their character is hitting on your character.
With your logic, that's like saying Tolkein was a shim hitting on Aragorn when he wrote Arwen being in love with him. Its a story. Its not real, and it has little to do with the player. Get over it.
The homophobic panic level of some gamers is sad.

That's because you view things differently then me.
When someone types something, it comes from that person, regardless of whether or not they're RPing.
Not homophobic, because I don't fear gay people. I just don't want them hitting on me. Learn the difference you fucking liberal.

Why does it bother you if a gay guy happens to flirt with you? If it looks like he's serious, just tell him you're straight, and that should be the end of it. Do you get so upset if a woman you are not attracted to is hitting on you?

Re: The Raven Mythic of AB
When it comes to the point of hitting on someone, IC or OOC, I can respect that wish to know the gender of the person behind the toon.
On the flip side, by now, anyone with experience in an MMO should likely have the good sense to assume that someone is a male playing a female, until the point where they pick up a phone and actually talk. Because everything else can, and has been, faked.
So, if that sort of thing matters to you, just ask.

Ok, I have no idea where you are going with this tbh.
Also @ Duvessa: It's usually not to difficult to tell the gender of someone, but when you have someone who is publicly acting like someone/ a gender that they aren't, then it starts to get on my nerves. Especially if they don't fess up to it.
Guess I just don't understand the whole RP thing though.

I think you're right... depending. The average guy going around and playing the average female toon, I do not care about. I just don't need to know, anymore than I care to know what their polotics or religion are.
When your persona gets a little bit more public, as mine did once I started running my own site, and got a lot of people coming to it, you should just admit it. That's a lesson I should have learned a lot sooner than I did, but, oh well, I've paid the price for that.
Unless you never want to meet anyone, never want to get close, never want to share anything about your OOC life, keeping a secret is usually impossible, and not worth the effort. Also, such secrets get used against you when you make an enemy, which, of course, is just about inevitable.
And, as I found, in the end, most people just do not give a shit what gender you are in real life, and the ones that do, it's rude to deceive them.
I think it all depends on how much you interact with someone. I no longer make a secret of my gender, but I also don't broadcast it as a disclaimer on every encounter or RP.
