FUCKING ANON FLAMERS ON THIS FORUM!!!!!

I can not stand someone who leaves there guild, Char Name, and Server blank while they are flaming someone... what are they hiding from. Is this an accident or are they trying to keep themselves in the closet while thinking they are all mighty and tough behind the computer.

I can't FUCKING STAND this.... really pisses me off....

does anyone else feel the same way??

I agree totally with above posters, although in some cases anon posting is ok, but the minute you start flaming or bashing on others or something in that effect then anon posters are on /ignore.

Like I don't care idf people are anon if we talk about combat changes or whatnot if their arguments are valid, that's fine, but as i said when i get's to flaming /anon FTL.

There's a really cool feature on this site - when you click someone's red user name, you are taken to a screen, and the option presented smack in the middle of the screen is "ignore posts by XXX" (XXX is example for the user's name).

You can't do that on the SoE Forums. So if someone is really just attempting to make you go off here, why not just put them on ignore. Imagine if an entire server put someone on ignore - they'd move on to messing with another server most likely.

As others have said above, there are "good" anon posters and "bad" anon posters.

A "good" anon poster is usually someone who doesn't want others to know their in game identity for whatever reason, but who still tries to post and participate constructively in this community.

A "bad" anon poster is one who is an existing "known" poster trying to pretend to be anon on a second account (I honestly believe I catch most of those), or someone who just comes here to grief and fuck with people for sport.

We need to allow anon posters on this site, as long as they follow Site Rules. There is no way to make rules that would prohibit anon posting - anyone could then just make up the name of a level 1 toon on Crushbone, for example, and say "I'm not anon, this is my level 1 toon." And then, what are we supposed to do, make a level 70 character requirement for posting here? That wouldn't work either.

Anon posters are also good in many ways. Anon posters have leaked some high quality, highly entertaining material here in the past, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Plus, I think most people will agree that they are at least amused when I publicly bust an anon poster for violating the site rules by posting from multiple accounts.

So my best advice is, if a particular anon poster is really annoying you, just ignore them. They are a necessary evil, and one that continues to waste over 10 hours per week of my time to deal with.

Constructive or not, I don't give a shit. If you're too afraid to face criticism it means you lack confidence in your own opinion and shouldn't fucking voice it.

Anonymous publications just give people a reason to bitch and act without consequence, and personally i'm not for that.
