I could have sworn I read on these forums about a guild being reimbursed stolen guild bank money. Anyone else remember this?

Yes, it did happen to Paradigm, or was it Aftermath? and they got their money back.

I think the only way we woudl be re-imbursed is if teh money was taken through some unnatural process, IE Verified account hacking, some type of guild permission exploit or an error on SOE's part, perhaps a rollback that erased the guild bank.

But due to the fact that Arigoth was at the rank of guild leader at the time he withdrew the plat, I doubt any type of reimbursement will happen, short of Arigoth/Ainien/Sehki getting warned by a GM and maybe he gives the plat back out of fear. That is all I can hope for atm.

Yea, I mentioned that to the guild when I petitioned this. I'm not sure what the circumstances are that would get one guild their bank back and another guild gets nothing?

tbh,If I was him I would sell the plat and toon on s/e and reroll with a new account before the banhammer. It really sucks for you guys, and he is a total ass for doing it but he can come out 2-2.5k richer irl.

The sad part is this isn't the first time he's done this. He was also guild leader in a guild in Vanguard called Inkara which was on flamehammer and later Seradon. He got pissed at one of the officers one night and disband the guild and server transfered.

His only saving grace there was he actually did give back all of the guild hall materials he also took since he couldn't sell them for cash.

5 stars even without log'tastic drama for our reading pleasure. Great point made and I didn't have to waste much time to get the lowdown. GJ punting him and getting your guild back. I've seen great guilds split and collapse in GL demotion drama induced situations before... sounds like you guys split anyway though? Probably inevitable if things are dysfunctional at the core.

No we didn't split. Long story short we got the guild back, now have 1 leader, and all thr problematic peopel are gone, as is the guild bank. All in all were better than wev'e ever been.

Good call... One GL ftw, no matter how lubby everyone is when you start the guild, everyone else should just be officers. this cuts destructive drama'llama'ness way down. Officers can be flogged openly by a voice of reason for being stupid but, GLs get cult followings for some strange reason.

It's best to have just one flagship to direct the fleet. Two or more... it's not a matter of "if". It's a matter of "when". There will be a disagreement about direction at some point and the guild will suffer for it.
