You keep saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, yet everytime someone in this thread gives an opinion that is different than yours you reply to them saying he's a cool guy. To me and to others in this thread, once is an opinion, multiple times is an invitation to debate the point. If you don't want to debate the point, then please STFU. We get it. You think he's cool and he just made some bad choices. Well, I think he's a douche because the only thing I've seen from his are the results of those bad choices, and you and the others who have given testemonials about what an upstanding guy he is isn't going to change my mind because I develop my opinions about people by how I interact with them, not by what their friends say about them.

You're not going to change anyone's mind by continually restating your opinion. If anyone is actually so soft-headed to change their mind just because a couple friends of someone say ignore what you saw him do, he's really a good guy, you just are misunderstanding him, then please by all means give yourself a hug...with a noose. You'd be doing the world a favor.

Holy shit, I just realized that '98 was a decade ago. So more than a few years then. That joke has been around a longass time. I'm sure before '92 with no evidence or good reason to back up my theory.

i'm not huffy at all. i just feel that i've made my points clearly, and honestly, i'm baffled at how some people aren't getting what i'm saying. i'm surprised by the conclusions some people are drawing from my posts. after my initial dissenting remarks, i have only responded to people who have drawn incorrect conclusions from my posts. i have not responded to the opinions that people have posted.

look back at my posts in this thread. the first one was where i posted my thoughts. my next post was a response to lfg and his comments toward me. after that, it's been me responding to misunderstandings about my initial post or subsequent attempts to explain my reasons. aside from my initial reply, i have not denied the opinion of any poster on the topic of the thread. in fact, i haven't even replied to people simply posting their opinion. i have only replied to people who were directing comments at my posts or ideas.

i've made a point to be careful about how i respond and what i respond to, because i had hoped to avoid the "hypocrite" cry.

so, if you will kindly point out - specifically, and in context - where i have contradicted myself, i will be glad to concede my mistake and clarify for you what i meant.

Ok, lets rewind here. This is the end of the first post you made in this thread, and what I believe to be your primary point. Well I hate to break it to you but you're wrong. Our assumptions aren't baseless. Our assumptions are based upon his actions on this board, which were the actions of a short-bus reject.

The only other "evidence" we have to draw a contrary conclusion from are the words of a handful of people that state they are his friends who say he's actually a cool guy. Well I, along with most of the others in this thread, choose to ignore that because he is your friend. You're going to stand behind your friend, and that's commendable, but that also damages your credibility as a character witness because you have a personal relationship with the person in question.

Which leads us back to the primary point of our conclusions on his character have been made based upon an examination of the evidence available at the time that the conclusion is drawn, not baseless as you claim them to be. Are they different than yours? Yes, but that doesn't make them wrong or inaccurate. They are our opinions, drawn from our direct observations of the person in questions actions, not baseless as you claim.
