hahaha i just delt with this Gm today right before our raid. took him like 10 fuckin mins to answer each of my questions. had to have a fury wait behind for me to get a port cause he was taking so damn long to finsh what he was doin.

i just shook my head and carried on.. then i saw this post i had to share lol

Took awhile for me to find it - but here is the screenie from when Icoer and all of us were in there. ( I understand that it was a language barrier and if that is all it was then fine, but we had to repeat shit again and again, and again, and again. )

I understand the whole language barrier thing, I can accept that and make allowances for it. However, language barrier does not explain having to tell him the name of the item 20 times, just to have him try to give you the wrong item. Scrolling up works great or hell even writing it down on a peice of scrap paper would have solved this issue.

Now that being said, Estick does eventually get the job done. He does try to help, and tries to be friendly. As painful as it can be to deal with him, I'd rather have him than one of the GM's who doesn't care and won't even try to help. That doesn't mean he's my first choice by any means, but he's not quite bottom rung either.

I had come here in hopes of starting this thread only to find more than enough people that seem to have had a similar experience.

I had been camping the last bouncer that I need for Stein of Moggok HQ for about 6 hours with no spawn of him or his PH. I submit a petition and about 1.5 hours later the Famed GM Estick appears before my very eyes. We go back and forth a number of times. And finally he decides to ask me what quest am I working on. I tell him and he replies. The quest is a heritage quest from Shattered Lands. It begins in East Freeport. I just about lost it right here. How the hell could I be waiting on a spawn for 6 hours that I need to complete this step if I had never gotten the starter.

We go back and forth about spawn times for a few lines and he proceeds to tell me that each mob has its own respawn timer. I reply with, "Yes and this particular mob has a respawn of 15 minutes. You have now been here for 45 minutes. It should have run by at least twice if not three times."

My patience finally ran out when he replied, "I investigate further, get back to you at my convenience."

My response was, "I have already been waiting 6 hours on a mob that should be spawning every 15 minutes. There are a few options that would make me consider this solved. First you can just update my quest journal. You may also reset the zone. Or how about you just spawn the level 40 mob that is half my level and watch me kill it in about 6 seconds and then we can be on our merry way."

GM Estick tells you, "Is there anything else that I can assist you with today?"

GM Estick has gone Linkdead.

I recommend that everyone feedback SOEs customer service and share your horror stories with the management that probably prints them on silk and wipes their ass with our suggestions.

Its called outsourcing and CHEAP - he is probably paid about 10% of what someone in N. America would cost. As we all know EQ2 budget is small and big on profits so they go with the no-name brand instead of the plush 3 ply TP.
