If it's an UPGRADE to the person rolling (which I'm assuming it was for the fury), then in what possible way was that a greed roll? Furies use intelligence. Furies need mana regen. Furies use spell crits for all of their damage. Sure, typically it is a mage item, but furies don't ONLY heal.

What you did was just rude. There is no excuse for taking something that is of absolutely no use to you that someone else could have used in spite to a person that knows the game mechanics better than you. The next time you accidentally roll on something that someone needs, I hope something great for you drops and that person wins it, just cause.

I'm just surprised that you could find two people so caught up by themselves in one group. I've never seen this happen before, let alone by 2 people.

Paradoxial & Oegle are pretty cool... knew them from EoF groups... and from them mooching off me in RoK instances. ^_^ Both are very good players.

The two casters... not so much. And yeah, + spell damage is awesome and then some, but not if you're hitting cap with all of your spells. It is clearly a wiz/warlock item.

I have to disagree with the majority of the responces here. I read the text and it appears this fiasco started because a fury rolled on, and won, something a mage should have got. Then the other guy, the poster of this thread, fueled the fire by condoning it. I'm not condoning the "payback", but a fury rolls on an item (they can use) and wins an item that a mage can use: this is okay. But a mage rolls on an item (they can use) and wins an item that a healer can use and this is wrong? There can't be two set of rules. Either BOTH were right or both were wrong. It has to be fair and no double standards. My 2 cents.

Here's the difference in case you missed it from all the above posts. The fury CAN use the item, will benefit from the stats hugely, WILL use the item and it upgraded them. The spite roll on the healer item the mage WOULD NOT (or at least should not need to) use the item, and the stats were not of any benefit to them. They had already won items previously, both of them, and the group was pretty clear on its loot rules for nbg - the fury passed on the healer item because they had already won something. The mages also spite rolled on an item against the wrong person - the inquisitor who'd done nothing wrong but have a differing opinion to them. Okay they might not like him, but honestly that's a shitty reason to roll against someone on an item.

I don't see how you're not getting this. The mages were being twats and rolled purely for that purpose, whereas the fury intended to use the item. There's a pretty big difference in the two. Your fairness monitor needs an overhaul.
