Okay, yeah, so we all know that a CoA run means nothing. But this isn't about a CoA run; sure, it took place there, and sure, none of the loot means a damn thing (except maybe that godforsaken warhammer that I still can't get to drop...fuck inquisitor weapon reliance). This is a little about that human quality called integrity, but mostly about why abortion should be legal up to the 81st trimester.
So, entering a pick up group to CoA is kind of a terrible idea, but any decent healer can make a bad group good, and I have every faith in my own ability to do just that. So I went along, in pursuit of my warhammer. But it didn't drop, as usual. Of course, plenty of other shit did, and that's where the fun begins. Off some yard trash came a Force Hoop. I know you all probably know exactly which one I'm talking about, but I'll throw an image of it up just because I'm so damned swell:
Cool huh? Well, we had a Conjuror named Zilia (of some guild called Mithril Band), and a warlock named Allsop (of Fabled). Allsop was pretty bad, but so was the tank, so his pulling agro probably wasn't all his fault. Anyway, Zilia won the force hoop; it was a big upgrade for her. Everyone else passed on it because, well, it's a rather one-sided item, and clearly aimed at the pure casters. Yay, grats, nbg's great, we move on.
So a while later we killed Hierophant, and he dropped a sort of okay earring:
Pretty solid. The fury in our group decided to roll on it, which is where the trouble started. It went down like this:
So yeah, don't even tell me how right I am about all of this, because I know. Furies self buff wis, and all of their primary slot items have wis on em. Most furies are running around with 500+ without trying, and that's a fact. Also a fact, is that they are entirely reliant upon spells, which of course require int. Furthermore, we all like power regen, but healers actually, you know, need it, not having infi power regen sources like most casters do. So I felt like the poor fury had a pretty legit case here, plus she didn't suck and was pretty nice, and her gear was bad. It was definitely the right move to make, I would've done the same in her shoes...well except that I'd never be a fury. But that's beside the point.
So a sort of awkward silence forms, until later, when probably the best caster item in the zone drops:
So that thing's pretty sick, but the fury didn't want the casters getting even more buttsore, so she passed on it. Plus, this one doesn't have power regen so it's not as viable for constant use as the earring was. So the fury passed, as did everyone else, and the warlock got his item:

So now everyone should be happy, right? The fury got by far the worst item of all 3, to boot. Yeah, so we got our shit together and somehow beat the final boss, though it took a lucky verdict from 11% to do it with the tank and brigand down, and the fury on the way too. Regardless, the mob died, so we got some loot. I wanted this one:
The fury, being a good sport and having won something already, bowed out so we could all get something. But I'm sure you can probably guess what happened:

So yeah, I was kinda pissed. I mean, the bracelet was good, and I needed some more power regen in that slot, but it's an instance dropped bracelet. Who gives a shit, it'll drop again the day after tomorrow. But I'm pretty sure that's about as big of an asshole move as a person can make in eq2, especially since they did it to me for simply standing up for the fury. They continued laughing about it for a while, which is cool because it just made me pissed off enough to write this all up. I talked to Mithril Band, and their leader was pretty apologetic. Fabled's officers weren't on, but I'm assuming they aren't giant gaping assholes like the cockrag Allsop, so hopefully he'll get the boot too.
Anyway, I don't really have the clout anymore to fuck these guys over myself, but I feel like they deserve it. And I wanted to get the word out that these assclowns should be in the market for a new guild soon if you want to thank them personally for their good deeds.
