I didn't mind nearly all of the mods, except Talonis the hilariously stupid e-hall monitor, and Miroh, the incredibly pathetic self nominated spaz. The rest were fine, but since Talonis and Miroh wanted to prove how tough they were to the other mods and members of the boards, apparently everyone is without mod status now. I'm sure that they are happy that they got everyone punished instead of themselves for abusing their powers.

Here's where I have issue with that. They are (supposedly) grown men. You can't possibly take responsibility for them. What you can (and are) doing is saying that their actions were sanctioned. That's different. They still made the mistakes.

Here's the really funny thing. I never disliked either of them until they decided that they were tougher men cause they could lock and move threads. They might have disliked me, but I've spent a unmentionable amount of time working on a personality here that many wouldn't like, so that would make sense.

The real problem was that neither one of them were mature enough to handle the position. While you sanctioned everything, they created issues for you that would have NEVER come up without them. So either way, you're in for less hassle now that they are gone.

I would like to strongly caution all users:

If I ever ask you for help on this site, you should just say "NO".

Why? Because damn near everyone who has ever gone out of their way to be nice and help me on this site has ended up being run off this site and/or subjected to scorn and ridicule.

Examples:

Calthine: A nice mother and homemaker, who helped out on this site for weekly pay that was less than what you'd make in a single shift at McDonalds, harassed to the point that people were entering profanity and sick shit in her cooking blog. I don't blame her for leaving, and agree she is much better off where she is now.

Bitmap: Donated over 100 hours of her time helping me with graphics, and was unjustly blown to bits by her own server section based on a retard-riot about what slogan should be used on a motherfucking T-Shirt.

Talonis: The largest single contributor to this site, went out of his way to try and help at the next level. Nobody was willing to be cool and reasonable, everyone had to create a site wide retard-revolt against him. The fact of the matter is that he did a lot of the dirty work that I didn't want to do, and his "shock" approach worked WONDERS toward getting a bunch of retards to be reasonable and accept the fact that this isn't Burger King, you can't have things your way.

Miroh: All time highest user referrals on this site, went out of his way to try and restore order in the Befallen section and fell victim to a riot there. It isn't his fault for what happened, he was acting on my orders.

To all the people who've complained about these upstanding members of this community: fuck you, I wish there were 1000 more people like this on this site. Before you tear people apart like this, ask yourself, what have I ever done for this site except for just complain and try and grief and abuse those who are trying to make this a better place? Your answer, if you look deep down inside, is probably "not a fucking thing, I just like to create problems for others but I'm not willing to do shit for anyone other than myself."

So really, if you ever get a PM from me asking for your help to do something, you are best off just deleting it, because all the good things you've done here before will be forgotten, and your helpfulness will only result in you being ruined on this site.

When I first started playing this game I didnt know a site like this even existed, a place where I could use any language I deemed fit in my defense about my opinions, right or wrong. This site was viewed by the masses as a bad place for "casual" players. I feel I have always fallen under the "casual" tag, so I tread lightly, when I post here I expect to be "flamed".

LFG ur sig says it all. Don't go into sparta expecting to be treated nicely or fairly or differently then how u treat others, u post something stupid expect to be called on it respect can never be demanded it must be earned in this site, and even then in a blink of misjudgement can be stripped. No where else can u go that fast from hero to zero.

With that idea in my head I always checked my questions to make sure I had done all the research I could do, in doing that I found that not only did I become a better player, I developed an understanding of the game far beyond what any site out there could give me. That is what flames is about well that and the fun fest that is server drama..
You have in effect given us our own moderators, each other.

It seems that you are trying to cut down on the bullshit threats and porn posts and what not, for that i think you are doing a good thing. But please dont care bear this site and go overboard with the moderation, idiots are temporary they do go away in time.

As for that T-shirt deal?? you should take pride in the fact that only here on flames can a simple item such as T-shirt cause so much drama...

You of all people lfg should know that nobody cares what folks have "done" for this site. Hell you post something stupid and see how quickly people call you out. You above all others has done the most for this site, shit man this is YOUR site, yet u fuck up and post an idiot remark and u can damn well bet u will get called out quickly.

To be honest i dont think there is an upstanding member of this flames community, oh sure we have our celebs in flames forums and what not. But all of us when u render us down to the core are just bored and wanna have fun in this time we have here with EQ2 and learning how to be good at our chosen class..

I think to moderate a site that is based upon what you started it off as will only lead to this sites demise...

I know im one of those nobodys that does nothing here but i like the site enough to post so i gotta count for something, if you didnt have anyone that posted u wouldnt have a site now would u? go take a walk thru the server forums on eq2 that should make u wonder what its like with moderators, once u start moderating where do you stop?? Got caught in the cross fire in a nasty fight that almost ended the site. Prior to that, you were praised for making a good choice.



No arguments there. That debacle was blown way out of proportion but she held her own and gave as good as she got.



I don't recall many people having issue with Talonis until things got out of hand in one thread in the Unrest section.



How many of Miroh's referrals actively post here or even use the site to generate ad revenue for you? I could easily ask or pay my guild members to register and they never return. So how much do the Miroh referrals actually contribute?

Beyond that, Miroh has gone out of his way to be a douche' at times. You honestly should have expected giving him authority to cause a backlash. He also did neither of you any favors by his actions. Rather than lay low and prove his critics wrong, he made the situations worse and proved he couldn't handle it.

But what of those you didn't mention? How about all the class mods that have received praise? How about Niber? He earned his ownership portion and I don't see him attacked.




First of all, I really only had issue with Miroh. Secondly, I do contribute. I post and engage. I continually send people here. My referrals actively use the site.
