SOE was all bent out of shape because of "excessive negativity" and they didn't want discussion about rumors of npu recieving inside info so they waited for the first scapegoat they could find and took it. LFG should be pissed, they kicked him out for a total bs reason(which was caused by SOE's own corruption). And in doing so yes they turned their backs to the rest of this community.

just because I don't post here doesn't mean I'm new. I've been playing eq2 for about 6 months and have played eq1 since 2001. I know plenty about SOE and its non-existent relationship with its playerbase very well, thanks.

I know you are all bent out of shape over the dev information post but it was not censored because LFG deleted a post with one comment like that right before this whole mess started, changed the rules of this site so that people who did such things would be punished, and Sony still took retaliatory action. The removal of our fansite status didn't come out of the blue and people here just decided to be dicks to the staff like that over it.

If you saw those related posts, you would have seen that he was trying to respect them because he thought it was the right thing to do (even against the wishes of the users of this site.) Since that wasn't good enough for Sony, he had no reason to afford them that respect and decided to follow the wishes of those who voted in that poll.

Take your own advice about assuming. Sure people assumed that you are some anon noob with your new account and 6 months of EQ2 experience. You also came into the thread and started flaming without having many of the facts.

A lot of people seem to think that posting the dev info and the general feeling towards SOE on these forums are a result of LFG being kicked from the influencer program.

As much as the reason he was kicked is utter crap thats not what the majority of people are pissed about, at least thats my opinion.

Along with kicking LFG they removed eq2flames' status as a fansite. Which can be interpreted as anyone who posts here rather than the official forums is not a fan and their opinion means nothing to SOE. This is then followed by a quick change in one of the official forums rules that seesm to allow greater leway in what you post. Also there has been a flurry of developer and moderator posts over the past few days. This all seems to be a concerted effort to pull people away from eq2flames and back to the official forums, but they would have more chance if they offered you a cookie for every post you made on the official forums.

That's how I see what has happened.
