I call that contribution. Spare me the whole "6 month Noob" bs.Nothing in this thread is directly related to anything regarding gameplay so using that against me in this case doesn't make any sense. I did read through the linked posts and that is what I'm basing my opinion on. I have been heavily involved in eq2 over the past 6 months, I've had this troub for over a year. I was just too busy concentrating on raiding in eq1 to be more than just a casual player at the beginning. And even before that, I had been visiting this site, going to the troub boards and the rate a retard forums. Just because I don't actively participate in many threads doesn't mean I don't know anything. I have spent many hours here entertaining myself so I know what kind of people are here and the shit that they are capable of. I understand someone made a comment that LFG deleted, but it was still done in his site. SOE is a corporation, they have a set of rules, they were broken (even if done by some douchebag third party who may or may not have been banned) and Sony pulled the plug. Was the decision harsh? sure! does it make it ok to post the entire dev team's real names and e-mails with usernames? no because I doubt that many of them were even involved in that decision that was made.
I understand this is just a big "fuck you" to SOE but innocent people are being brought into it when they shouldn't be. Come on, I have seen countless threads of people just going ballistic on Devs because of issues with the game. Even attacking innocent devs (that we should be grateful they even participate in this site considering all the shit they have to put up with) just because they happen to work for SOE This site is full of angry players and people that were booted off the SOE boards. What do you expect they'll do with this info? I have already seen comments of people googling names and linking personal journals. Guess what? you're not really screwing SOE by doing that, you're screwing those employees that had nothing to do with it. Had it just been the person that sent that e-mail's info, I wouldn't have said a word.

On this board, failing epically at reading comprehension and talking out of your ass as a result is plenty enough to get pwned for. Also, having a gross misunderstanding of contract law and failing to realize that not all NDA's are created equal and that certain information can be exempt or not addressed in different NDA's would also be plenty. The NDA is probably not applicable to information the devs are telling the public in general, and I also doubt it would have addressed and protected inappropriate conduct by its devs that compromised the integrity of the game.

If someone didn't want to flame you for those two, they could also go with option three, flaming you for being an ignorant fuck with your head shoved up your ass. Nobody is flaming anyone that is "innocent" here. Everyone that is flaming a dev has a legitimate issue with said person and is a result of that person injecting themselves into the community by choice. On this board, people that have issues with other people are going to make them known, and often not politely, regardless of how much it hurts your feelings.

I know that everyone that is calling out the devs has a problem with them. Where I'm from, when you have a problem with someone, it's an issue, and it's legitimate. If you don't have a problem, you don't say anything it's pretty simple. Whether or not the issue is legitimate in your opinion, or in mine, is irrelevant. If it's legitimate to the person speaking, it's good enough to post here, since that's what this board is for. If devs want to give their personal info out to people and interact with the community, they must be aware that it will inevitably disseminate to the rest of the community, one way or another.

You are right on one point though, there's no need for me to continue to address you. If it offends your sensibilities for people to insult you when you spew ignorance, you need to go somewhere else. I appreciate the fact that you obviously have a friend that is a dev or whatever, but this isn't the place for you to come and stick up for them when they screw up without fear of repercussions, that's the official boards. What we have here is a community of people who want to be openly vocal about the game they love (or used to love). The SoE lovefest is across the street.
