Sure...one dev fucked up. That is no reason for LFG to condone the posting of private/personal/sensitive information of EVERY dev or staffer otherwise they can dig up information on into one post for the world to see and do whatever they want with.

If they'd only taken this out on that particular dev...I would've been fine with it. But dragging a slew of other people, unassociated in all ways except for who signs their paycheck, through the mud was ridiculous and the most retarded thing I've ever seen anyone do in any moment of anger.

For anyone who actually knows me (and I'm sure plenty do)...I'm also a very vocal opponent of much of what SOE does to EQ and EQ2. I'm in no way a fanboy or anything even remotely similar. But LFG and Snark didn't just step over the line in response to LFG getting kicked out of the Influencers...they took a running start and jumped.

It all comes down to this. You're all mad because someone here hasn't toadied up to LFG and become a brainless yes man against everything that is wrong with EQ2 and how SOE is handling it. So what do you do?

Just because you got kicked out of the Influencers gives you no right to allow Snark to post information he's accumulated about the devs - especially not information that involves their real name and their contact e-mail. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and call this a situation where you had trouble registering your first account, so you registered a second one without knowing about our very strong rule against multiple users here.

So I'm not going to suspend you, even though it was your obvious intent to post here anonymously like a coward. That is permitted, as long as it isn't done from more than one account per person.

Despite our very different opinions on this matter, hopefully you can understand that we aren't censors here, and aren't trying to prevent people with different opinions from expressing those.

If you think revealing their real name and business email is sensitive information you're living in the stone age, they give out that information at every developer chat or developer interview. Hell, Aeralik has it in his signature.

In-game name, gimme a break, it's not that big a deal. Sure, they'll get a few more tells but if it bothers them they can change their name -- or /ignore. It's a minor nuisance at best, and it's what they deserve for telling people they're Developers.

Agreed. What was posted in this matter was nothing more than a compilation of what the named devs told other players that were not subject to any NDA, and what SOE and those devs have posted or otherwise publicly communicated elsewhere.

There is zero wrongdoing here. All that Niber and I have done is exercised our right not to delete that information, based on the Site Rules and policies we've been enforcing since day 1.
