Yea from my understanding this is the 3rd attempt at a flame to Hornfel.
She tried the 70-79, failed. She then asked her sidekick to "Blacklist" him, failed. So i guess this was a last resort and she failed again!

Hornfel isnt the bad guy here, so when you realize that and stop posting this BS you can go back to "camping the zone" lol

Wasnt this for your alt that your started all this?

I've been spending all my non-raiding time trying to gear up my new wiz alt. I did Vaults almost everyday with a SK knowing full well that he would be rolling against me on the PG if it dropped. It never dropped for him and I just said fuck it and bought loot rights when I saw it in chat.

The only outcome I can see from this attempt at a RaR is that you now have 1 less tank that would be willing to do the zone again to help you get yours.

As far as I'm concerned, PUGs are formed cuz necessary guildies can't be acquired to do a particular zone. That being said, any upgrade, no matter how small, is still an upgrade and PUGs would pretty much be the only time that pallys can and should roll on items that are generally considered "caster gear".

Sorry you missed out, but I support this person's right to roll on his upgrade received in a pick up group.

Good point. Too bad for her, cause he is one tank that would definitely not roll against her the next time.

So I tanked Maiden's for a guild group the other day. The group consisted of my Guard, a Templar, Defiler, Troubadour, Brigand, and an SK (Why 2 tanks? The SK was a last second invite to fill the group.) So we kill Dru, and the Jarsath Robe of Royalty dropped. Now, I had joked ahead of time about being able to /random on the robe for my Conjuror, my raid toon, if it dropped. The Troubadour, another one of our raiders, wanted the robe though. Despite some hinting that my Conjuror still needed it, as soon as he said he definitely wanted it I said "Grats dude, enjoy!" and that's that. It was an upgrade for him, and he would use it. If my Conjuror had been in the group and he rolled, I would have been fine with it (though in that case he may have passed.)

That's a guild group, though. The OP was talking about a PUG. People join instance PUGs primarily for gearing up their characters. They owe nothing to their groupmates other than to not suck, and to not roll on items that they won't use. Any choice to not roll on something they can and will use is an act of generousity, not something owed to "someone who can better use the item." Whining about someone rolling on something they will use is pure greed on the part of the whiner. Arrange these things before you enter the zone, or STFU.

As far as I am concerned, all of the following are valid rolls in PUGs:
Inquisitor rolling on the Mantle of the Jarsath Tribe against a Tank.
Fury rolling on Will Bender/Jarsath Robe/Praetor's Guard vs a Mage.
Healer rolling on Arm Guard of the Farseer vs a Crusader.
Scout rolling on Gi of the Jarsath Swiftail/Unailing Shoulderpads vs a Brawler.
Bards/Tanks rolling on Carotidcutter over a Rogue/Assassin.
Bards rolling on any caster/melee gear they can and will use.

not going to bother reading the thread, it just fails to hard. all i can say is, this item is the second best dps symbol/ranged item in game (Best being dark orb) for a paladin, so regardless of how much more it may benefit a pure caster, they have no right to bitch if a paladin roles on it with the intent to up their own dps. my paladin already has a praetors himself and i can tell you one thing, this item rocks for dps. want to complain about it? go yell at a dev for putting pally/sk on it. there are plenty of symbols we cant use that are mage/priest or mage only, but they put us on it so they obviously intended for us to be able to use it if we so chose

I acted like a tool out of frustration. I expected a PuG to behave like a guild group. My appologies to Hornfel and those who took the time in this thread to point out the facts rather than the usual "epic fail" or "You suck" comments.

I retract my OP and chalk it up to a lesson learned the hard way.

And a deep and sincere fuck you to those who did post the usual "epic fail" or "You suck" comments.
