Reading this sentence caused me physical pain.
Isn't "irreversable loss of IQ points" grounds for a lawsuit?
It should be.

4. SOE simply handled the publishing for PotBS, not development. It was a niche game to begin with, and SOE took a bit of a risk, but so what?
5. LiveGamer is a collaborative effort involving many companies, not just SOE. FunCom, for example, is also involved. SOE is not involved in the development of the LiveGamer service, either. Nonetheless, creating a viable, cross-game, RMT service would be a major improvement for the North American gaming market, and would greatly help pave the way for micro-transactions, and even more visionary ideas like creating a common MMO framework which different worlds could plug into, similar to how different web pages all share the same framework of the internet.
Further, the 3 big projects SOE has in the works - The Agency, FreeRealms and DC Superheros are all very different from what other companies are currently working on. There seems to be far more vision there than at other companies. SOE seems far more willing to embrace uncertainty and risk than other companies.

Very true, but he supported it.

Not sure I agree, but it worked out after KoS was released.

I agree, it was a value so that it could be added to Station Access.

I think SoE needs to be more careful about the games they publish and associate with.

SoE is the major backer of this service. 40 something million or so was what I thought, but I could be wrong.

SoE has the vision, which is ironic after the EQ1 vision was the joke of the mmog world when SoE took over. I just think it is time for Smedley to leave and someone else to step in.
Anyway, get a few beers in me and there is no telling what shit spews from my mouth.

Agreed and that is why this thread and SoE fails. Anyway, subs canceled and toons have been sold. Take care all and good luck. Hope to see some of you in AoC if that works out.

Sorry, but I think I'm going to be sticking around here a bit longer. It's just too much fun to stir things up here. I love this site - it's like opposite land. On normal sites, the trolls tend to be semi-literate and inflammatory, while here, I am a troll for making reasonable and sober posts. It's really quite refreshing, at least in small doses. Gaze too long into the abyss...

Honestly, what fun can you have here if you post while your sober. I talk everday to people that are literate and usually have better grammer than I do, but who gives a shit. It is and will be always nice to have an outlet to vent delusional beliefs without getting banned.
