How about a permanent suspension pending the results of the poll, that takes less effort.

The clearly posted rule now is that a ban isn't really a ban on this site. A ban is a 3 day suspension, and will usually only be given after a user intentionally violates a direct order to stop doing something, or they obviously knew they shouldn't have done it to begin with.

The bans will not be given, ever, for first time violations or bona fide mistakes.

We will not be allowing users to vote on how this site is managed, or who is suspended or banned. I'm very sorry, but if you want to pay me an $80k annual salary to spend my full time doing things like that, I'll be happy to reconsider. This is a game site, this is a game, it is my free time, and you don't dictate my use of it.
