What I do need, however, is assurance from an official member of Dissolution - and I pick Calaglin because in my view he has the most sense and can work to resolve the situation rather than just be a mouthpiece and spout rhetoric - that no more porn will be posted on this site.

If I can't come to a negotiated settlement of this situation by the day after Christmas, I will simply either kill this site, take it down, or continue with Martial law, and just perma ban all Disso members who cause problems on this site. I will make that decision then if this situation isn't resolved.

If Calaglin can explain to me what Disso wants to stop this situation, exactly, what will it take for them to stop this, what do they want me to do NOW? And if we can work this out, then everything will go back to how it was immediately, and I will unban everyone except Quenthal, because that ignorant bitch isn't fit to use the Internet in the first place anyway.

The choice is Dissolutions, and specifically depends on whether Calaglin, or any other member the wish to appoint, wants to resolve this matter rather than just continue to make it worse.

I have learned many things while reading this new, improved "Gaige's Penis" thread:

1) People have somehow missed the many, many, many times that LFG said he has Calthine as a mod here because she is impartial/unknown/whatever...though I had some interactions with Kiana when I was on Nek and she was never anything but completely nice to me. It makes me sick to see people talk to/about her the way I've seen here. I suspect the whole thing is something like yelling at a cashier because the line was too long--she's just doing her job, man, shut the fuck up. The woman has kids and lives in Alaska, she > you.

2) LFG sounds like me in my classroom full of 14-year-olds, especially the part about getting as close to the line as you can without stepping over. That's something my kids do..."ooooh tee hee let's see if I can say a badword and not get in trouble! /looks over shoulder to make sure teacher is paying attention...."FUCK!!!" /looks around innocently..."no, Miss, that wasn't me at all!"

Note: If the above seemed stupid to you...well, that's the point.

3) Some people don't understand the term "in general," which means almost always, but sometimes not. If it was never, it would have said never.

4) Reading one of Widem's posts is like reading one of my students' essays. It makes my eyes bleed, but I can't correct it.

5) Tangarth is much funnier when he's not attacking me (Which means he probably will now, but such is life).

6) Kuri of the zobo can make intelligent, coherent posts (who knew?) that I (gasp) often agree with.

7) Disso is obssessed with penises.

8) No one knows how to fucking spell hypocrite.

While she may indeed not be fit to use the Internet, over and over in this situation you have fingered her as the reason you had such a bad day. This is not true. You had a bad day because YOU and Gaige made a bad call, and some petty fucks decided to screw with you over it. Q was indeed one of said petty fucks, but she was a bit player in the clusterfuck that followed. Nobody - let me repeat NOBODY - took her initial claims seriously, except apparently you and Gaige.

Frankly, putting everything that happened on her shoulders is giving her far more credit than she's due.

I agree with you, porn is porn, whether linked or direct. I made a mistake that will not be repeated. I banned Ishbu for posting a picture of a penis on this site after apologizing publicly for the Gaige link and saying it would never be allowed again.

So because I made a mistake, you are saying that I now need to open this site up and allow everyone who ever wants to begin posting dick pictures here?

Dude, Ishbu posted his penis pic here almost a full day after Gaige's link was taken down. Why do you think he was justified posting that penis pic after appx 1000 posts of discussion on the issue, and the excruating explanations, my apologies, and my dozens of statements that it would never be allowed again.

Is it that you didn't get to see enough penis the first time, and want to see more? This isn't a penis pic site, this site is about EQ2. Not even softcore will be allowed here ever again, either as a link or pic.

Can you or anyone else fucking stop with this asked and answered bullshit and answer this simple question:

Should people now be allowed to post penis pics here anytime they want, or should I have the right to ban them when they do so, as I've stated I would?

That may be true, but I still intensely dislike her from having been guilded with her. While this focus of my ire toward her may not be productive, it's all the pleasure I'm getting from this situation.

Hell, I'll even change on that issue, and will agree to unban her as well if that is a specifically negotiated term by Disso to resolve this entire stupid situation.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get back to civilly discussing hypocracy? I know there are some that want to make the discussion about them, but this is really about someone who called everyone else in the world out and then could not take it when he/she got called out. Plain and simple.

The thing that annoyed me the most about the SoE forums was the deleting, locking and quoting the Forum Rules of Conduct.

Its happening here now. While there may be a good reason for it,l I never thought the same SoE stuff would happen here.

I agree with this LFG, I'm not sure why Quenthal is being singled out. Q did nothing worse than anyone else here and to say otherwise makes it appear as if she is being scapegoated. It was your call to allow what happened, so ultimately this is on your shoulders and no one elses. As far as her claims, I glanced over them and didnt even pay them one OUNCE of attention, I saw her little game/trick and it simply never occured to me that you would both even acknowledge it. I truly thought at worst you would ignore it and that the other person would laugh and make a sarcastic remark and move on without a second thought. Both your reactions and subsequent actions were shocking. And not so much in what you did...but in that you even TOOK IT SERIOUSLY and spared a brain cell thinking on it.
