I honestly think that people need to look at this from my perspective. When you have to answer and argue every point everyone makes into the ground, and then new people spring up 2 days later arguing the exact same points all over again from the beginning, a guy gets somewhat frustrated and says fuck it, I don't have time to deal with this, this situation is not working and cannot work in this manner.

I do not get paid to run this site, in fact it costs me to do so. The bottom line is I cannot spend 20 or more hours each week because a small number of people want to argue and reargue the same points in perpetuity. At some point, I need to give the same answer your mother gave you when you asked her the same question for the 23rd time as a child: "because, that's the way it is, now please stop asking me and move on."

Nothing whatsover drastic has been done here. Nobody has lost any rights really, the site will continue operating exactly as it has been in the past. The one exception to this is that I'm no longer going to be spending the majority of my free time, that I'd rather be spending doing other things, arguing points to death with people who will never agree with me anyway. I'm sorry if anyone doesn't like that, but I believe at this point, in my shoes, you would have come to the same realization. I believe that what I'm doing is extremely reasonable.

Nobody has been banned from this site permanently. Anyone who has been banned can be reinstated, as I've said dozens of times now, by sending me an email asking for reinstatement after the 3rd day of their ban, indicating they are now willing to follow site rules and will just be normal and argue about different things other than these same dead horse issues.

I don't think that's too much to ask at all, and I think the VAST majority of users on this site, the silent majority who've stopped using this site because they are sick and tired of this shit, greatly appreciate this new focus to my management of this site. I'm reasonable, but here's the line, cross it, and and you are gone in a manner that I no longer have to deal with your tantrums.

Just a question; what exactly could LFG do to help the situation? He's already said hes sorry about the incident, hes laid out clear rules to follow in the future so there are absolutely no questions on what can and can't be done. What can he do at this point besides what's already been done? Or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing?

If you have already made up your mind about what this site is about now and what LFG is like then what are you waiting for?
Do you want him to shut the site down is that it?
If you are trying to "expose" him I think you either succeeded or failed already cause I'm pretty sure that those who care are already following this thread and I doubt new people would read through 400+ pages to get the idea.

As I said before, seeing as most things have already been said either get with the rules or go somewhere else and make your own forums. Nothing can come from this argument except possibly a few bans.

Um LFG, just a suggestion in the theme of house cleaning. After the general rules, just make three new ones:

1) Don't call Calthine names like... (whatever you said here)
2) I can and will ban you anytime I want for any reason I say if I feel (or enough others feel) you are disrupting, spamming, purposely derailing, or in any other way fucking up the boards. You will be warned once to stop whatever it is I don't like, and then you go bye bye.
3) I will try at all times to be as unbiased and objective as possible but I am human. So are you. So use common sense when you post or when you are warned to cease and assist. Your participation here is at my discretion. I don't have to explain why I ban you or give an explanation. Asking you to stop doing whatever it is you're doing is enough.


Just seems that'd take up a lot less room and be much more concise. Just a thought, it's basically what another board I use has. Pretty much a set group of rules and then the disclosure that they can kick your ass out anytime they want. You get one warning and that's it. Don't like it play elsewhere. Just a thought
