Who are the customer relations people? give me emails and or names and I will be happy to but there is no one to bitch to. Grimwell? the dude just started work a couple days ago. Who else is there? All their customer relations people quit the damn company. And I am not going to blame some dude who just posts on the message board for bad game mechanics. There is no other scape goat. They are the end of the line for the player base as far as getting crap done. Defend them all you want but thats not gonna change the views of most every other EQ2 player. The devs are the people ya talk to get things changed but it only works maybe 5% of the time, and thats being liberal. I have nothing against the devs as a whole but someone has to be accountable and they are the only ones who can be.

SOE can change that but till something is changed my views will remain the same. They can paint over the strip of a skunk and tell ya its a black rabbit but that doesn't mean it still isn't a stinky ass skunk.

You want customer relations people?

How about Raijinn? Brenlo? He would be the head of the Customer Relations folk. Try bugging him.

Reiterating what Kiara enlightened you on the Devs are not "your link to SOE." Community Managers are there for a reason. They take feedback from the players to the developer community.

Developers aren't hired to play customer service, they are hired to design a game. And "all their customer relations people" equals one person, Blackguard. Did you contact Raijinn yet?

If you really believe that the Devs are supposed to be open why don't you head over to the WoW community and see how accesible the Devs are there.

SOE is one of the most open companies around.

Stoic I'll say it again. You are looking at the little picture surrounding your play style and concerns. LFG gets this, so I know it's not a hardcore/non-hardcore thing.

SOE customer relations suck balls, after the new petition system and lack of a working online chat ( never works for anyone i know) of course the devs and programmers will be targetted.. they MADE the shit.. they developed the new soe petitioning system.. they developed the game...

They overlook obvious bugs and made Iksars swim like lizards.. they lack a head programmer or management.. its like the devs have a grab bag full of issues and bugs and things they would like to do for fun and pick a couple each patch day.They are howver finally on to the fact that farmers are repeatedly doing an instance in kos for masters.. thank god... its people LIKE Iluminator who report things like this who get the word to the devs and gms that somethings up. SOE doesnt play the game they are a huge corp.. they pay for programmers and not for people to test the stuff.. they most likely ask for bare minimum qc before something goes live to save the budget.

Pretty armor is for going afk in freeport not for fucking play n00b. If you want adolescent boys to jerk it to your likeness make a porn site ffs

lol if i see a pick up group with someone wearing formals or anythign not related to combat i have no qualms about dropping group if they dont gear up. that person goes on ignore and i carry on not looking back.

Actually... the new petition system was all CS. Nothing at all to do with the devs.

SOE CS has 0 to do with the Devs. I'm not sure how you are even making a logical association. I'll agree with you I loathe the new petition system mainly because it won't even work on my PC.

Last time I checked, they have a head programmer, he goes by Silverfrost and is one of the most intelligent developers I've ever talked to. Their management includes Dymus (lead content designer) and Gallentie (Producer). Anything else I can clear up for you?

You really have lost all credibility if you don't believe they play their own game. I really have never understood how people can make such a foolish statement without knowing the devs personally. How do I know you and Illuminator play? Cause your guildmates say so? I bet I can get some of the Devs friends to come in here and say they play. I've played with a number of them on the PvP server awhile back.

And what the hell does formal wear have to do with developers? If you don't like the frill, roll a male toon, grab your crotch and grunt like the rest of us.

Not saying you were, just bringing this up. I'm still always mystified when I hear someone complain about the new petition system. I strongly prefer it to the old one, you are no longer tied into being online to get a response, it all happens by email now. Vastly more efficient, IMO, and it also seems to result in faster resolutions. I've had several positive experiences with the new petition system, and think CS has improved greatly because of it.

And anyone who disagrees with me sux! =p

I just have a question though for all the "the devs can do no wrong" people. Do you work at SOE? Do you have intimate knowledge of SOE procedures workings and know what they are doing on a day by day basis every day and can relate anything useful here? If you cannot answer that then all you are doing is spoon feeding us stuff you hear second hand from "dev friends". None of what any of ya have said actually has any fact in it just trying to stand up for your friends. I think thats fine and good but why does it hurt your personally when someone says something negative about a dev? They fricken work at SOE they got thick skins and can deal with criticism you don't need to fight their battles. I am not saying don't express your opinion but till I see a name tag saying you have anything to do with SOE and their inner workings I suggest ya might want to be a little more reserved in your statements. I know full well what they go through to implement changes and that it is sometimes a real god damn pain in the ass to fix some stuff. The thing is though there are still bugs from release that plague us from time to time. The game will never be 100% bug free but they could do a hell of alot better job than they currently are.

Fixing Bugs > Than anything else in game including looking pretty.

If the boss who signs the checks to the devs' say "We're not going to fix ABC bug, we're going to do XYZ right now." Guess what.. your bug isn't going to get fixed. It's the boss of the devs, not the devs itself. Everyone has to answer to someone.
