You just asked why they hire people from the community, but you state fans are clawing for a chance to make a difference. Community members aren't fans? Fans aren't community members?

Devs are people. People have relationships. Obviously discretion needs to be used in forming these relationships so too much special priviledge isn't given to them.

I have to ask, how do you know the criteria for summit invitees to be picked out? I'm not even sure myself.

Wow X. She asked the forum receive at least the same moderation as the rest of the site and ya'll jumped down her throat. The place is only supposed to be about non-game topics not a no-holds barred free-for-all that many of you want it to be.

In no context would I ever draw similarities between the passionate players on this forum (and the ones that still post on eq2players) and those that spam NGD forums.

I agree there is nothing wrong with devs forming relationships, and I am confident that if they make the right ones it will be a huge step in the right direction. With that said, what I have observed on existing relationships is by and large extremely immature and bent on granting priveledges.

Naw. I don't claim to have anything like that, but can you imagine if I did? If I had a bunch of PM's from a player and mod referring to themself as one person and posted it?

Wonder how people would respond. I guess it's lucky that I don't have anything like that..
