BTW Radar, I don't have any problem with you, and liked reading a lot of the stuff you wrote. You were not one of the NGD "gang bangers" I was talking about. It is true that you posted there, and you apparently have a lot of friends in that section, but you were never the type of person who thought it was cute to spam bump discussions people were having when there was no place else on eq2players.com to have those discussions except NGD. So please don't come at me, I'm not your enemy.

Khalen that sucks; blue name or no, that didn't deserve more than a slap on the wrist. That said, Radar's right in that working for a fan-site, pissing off SOE when you depend on them for visibility/interviews/etc is not the smartest move. Not your fault, though, if you didn't know that as a volunteer; Arthais ran his site half-assed and it's no surprise he didn't communicate responsibilities more clearly.

And for the love of God LFG, it's EQ2 forums, not eq2players; eq2players is a completely separate site, craptacular in it's wide-reaching brokenness. It sucks for entirely different reasons than the forums.

Can you understand what I'm saying?!?! I replied to your longer post in another thread and thank you for noticing that I don't go out of my way to annoy people...well often. I can have and enjoy serious discussions when they are warranted. There are certain people that will draw my immediate attention and ire but the list is short.

I'll admit there are a handful of people on NGD who need to be smacked around a little.

I was honestly done here, to a degree. I wasn't going to post any more in this thread - but was going to keep reading these forums because some of the bitterness here is so tastey that I could feed off of it for years.

However, I just want to point out ONE thing, and please - take it as you will and know that in saying this I'm not directing it at anyone and it's just an observation.

I've seen the NGD called a clique, a mob, a gang, a club, and a group of people who are mean bullies.

Making a section of a website dedicated to trashing people who don't fit in with your way of thinking, or you don't like, or just aren't part of your group?

Also in regards of this thread - outting any Mod, even Gaige, or attempting to do so is just childish.

My little corner of teh interwebs is my hobby. And as a hobby it gets put off as necessity of my life dictates. I do it 'cause it's fun, nothing more.

I am not nearly so self important to refer to it as my JOB, because it's not. It's what I do for fun.

I AM however quite sufficiently self important to state that I have no intention of making it my job. To be quite frank...writing about video games, for a living? I sets my goals a tad bit higher than that.

See now, here's the thing. I tell people one thing and one thing only. Obey the rules of the company, as the company has displayed their rules. The rules of EQ2 are, as far as I am concerned, exactly what they display them to be. I've read em, many times. See if you can find anything about certain people being held to certain standards while others are not.

Go on, check, get back to me when you find it. And UNTIL it is there, clearly put, black and white, then it ain't a rule now, is it?

And don't give me crap about "unspoken understandings", it's bullshit. If SOE, and EQ2, actually want to be treated seriously as a business entity, then let them do what everyone serious business entity does. Transparency. They want to create different rules for different people, then let them be clear about that, let em put it right there, on the page, among their other rules. Let them display, to everyone, their discrimination, and not hide it behind private PMs and secret bannings.

I will tell everyone who comes to contribute to the site the exact same thing, follow what's there.

And until the day it IS there, any attempt by SOE, the devs, the mods, or anyone else to enforce rules that they themselves have not clearly put out there is simply their inadequacy, not my own.

And if they want to treat one paying customer differently than another paying customer, in violation of their own rules on non discrimination, well, not much more I can say about that, is there?
