Oh yeah, I never said that he was a poor writer or was ever "wrong" because he picks and chooses his battles. What I perceive as being arrogant is partly to do with his vocabulary, and the fact that he chooses usually to attack a person's argument rather than actually contribue to a discussion. He'll gladly rant on for 5 paragaraphs about what fallacies your post has, rather than saying "You know, I disagree for this reason."

Like I said, he looks like a fun guy, and LFG confirmed that he is. But his personality on the boards is that of a stuck up snob.

Seriously though, I think of him when the term *fanboi* comes up. Maybe it's just me, but most post come off as "how dare you" instead of just an oposing opinion.

That actaully is a perfect example. Early in that thread he used the very example he later called fallacious. When I pointed that out to him, he pulled two completely separate issues of mine together and claimed I argued something I didn't. Rather than own up to that, he took things in a completly separate tangent.

I especially like how when he was proven wrong, the issue changed from being a fallacious argument to that's would should happen.

Elanie described his post as hoity-toity, i.e. saying he is arrogant. I don't see how any of those things you mention make the linked post a perfect example of him being arrogant. I can see how you might not like him for the things you've mentioned, but I fail to see how those things make him arrogant.

What about his earlier posts make him sound arrogant?
