if profanity in public channels is a crime... then im on death row. i grew up in a big city... i cuss a lot, unfortuantely i cant help it when im thinking on my toes. if people dont like seeing curse words, there is a filter, i suggest you turn it on.

The other day on my server somebody was suspended for saying in 60-69 chat "eye loob my bagina" and the excuse was that minors play the game. Dont minors take the risk of being exposed to stuff like that when they play a game that is rated T for teen? If a teenager doesnt know what a vagina is by now... then there is no hope for them and 60-69 chat is doing them a favor by educating them about it.

I curse quite a bit also - in many ways, I feel cursing adds spice to language, in the same way that that Tabasco adds spice to food.

I've never had an issue with someone dropping the F bomb in channel, and have always felt that's what the profanity filter was for.

My problem with vulgarity in public channels in EQ2 has never concerned curse words commonly used to accessorize language.

My problem has been when the vulgarity quickly leads to extreme detail involving deviant and crude sexual practices especially. For example, it is quite simple to describe an act where person A would insert then remove his willy from Person B's bunghole, while Person B then licked off every last bit of fecal material. None of what I just typed out would be removed by the profanity filter - but lemme ask you - would you rather have your teenage daughter read what I wrote, or read one guy saying "fuck you" to another instead?

There is a mammoth difference between obscene and vulgar chat, and mere profanity. Profanity should be expected, obscene and excessively vulgar chat written to escape the profanity filter should neither be expected nor allowed in public channels in game.

Minors play this game ONLY with Parental Consent. its on the EULA, Minors can not own a SOE account, it specifically says as much.

Who ever got susspended for saying "eye loob my bagina" not only deserves to be reinstated this very moment, they deserver twice as many free days as they lost from the suspension.

READ YOUR OWN FUCKING EULA DUMB ASS GMS. Minors cant legaly play this game without the express permission of an Adult, and its the Adults Responsability yo make sure their childs enviroment is safe. NOT YOURS
