Faylene - Nektulos
I normally wouldn't get into this kind of thing, but this goes out to Faylene on Nektulos, from the guild Vengeance, the wizard that prefers to not practice nbg.
First off, zonewide in unrest, you had 1/5 the total damage as I did, and you, a wizard, got out dps'ed by the pally mt, along with me (assassin) and the necro, and you were very close to being out dps'ed by our warden. You suck at this game, clearly. Hell, the mystic probably would have out dps'ed you if he tried. This much I can put up with, being as it's a pick up group.
Then, bloodspiller drops, which I clearly noted, was an upgrade for me, a character in the group. I would figure by this time, groups would be nbg by default, I mean who the fuck groups otherwise. But, you as a wizard, decide to roll on the dual wield weapon, and win it.
After some polite discussion, asking if you would use it (which was an item un-usable by mages), you give me the excuse that you're gonna use it on your beserker alt. Okay, let's see, if you use dual wields as a beserker, you're absolutely retarded. You'd use a 2-hander, or 1-hander/buckler if going dps. So that is obviously bs, though you just might be dumb as fuck, and play your beserker as shitty as your play your wizard.
So, after trying through tells, and calling you out in group chat, you still selfishly hoarded it, obviously just taking it to sell (which i did even offer you 5 plat for it, even though 99.9% of other people go by nbg looting).
So to this greedy, cock-sucking loot stealer, go fuck yourself, you suck at this game, I hope you are unable to reproduce.
** ps - to those commenting, yes I know bloodspiller is nothing to you end content raiders, but it's a significant upgrade for my character, and I was very disappointed by this occurance **

I concur, I gave this one 5 stars. Nicely stated.

Re: Faylene - Nektulos
Man, that stinks.
I have always wondered if they couldn't put some kind of NBG loot mechanism in.
If item is for a class and class is in group only those classes could lotto it, 'unless' none of that class in group.
I don't suppose there really is a good way to code something like that.
Good use of this section IMO, Tion.

Vanguard has a really nice NBG lotto system.
After being set by the group leader, it works so that every class able to use an item is able to click one of two buttons, either "need" or "greed" when it drops. Classes who can't use the item can only click "greed". The winner of the lotto, if there were two people who clicked "need", would be the person who rolled highest according to the RNG. If everyone clicked "greed", it would also go to the person with the highest roll.
The fairest system I've ever seen, and what EQ2 severely lacks. In looking at the interface, this seemed to me exactly the sort of design and coding that Silverfrost specializes in - so how about a NBG lotto system built into the interface, EQ2 devs?
While you're at it, feel free to code in a "round robin" automatic group loot distribution system like VG has also, np.

a good game, should take the best available options and add them to its game no matter where they game from. And I agree with LFG VG's loot system is much an improvement over eq2's.

Does it matter who concieved the idea originally bud? Isn't it more important that it's a *much* better loot system, and that it would make EQ2 a better game, and also (at least IMO) be fairly straightfoward to program as a new interface mod?
I wouldn't know anything about the loot system in WoW anyway, and can only describe what I know.
