He was using an analogy of bugs, who don't know better than to head straight for the attractive shiny light and end up zapping themselves, to describe your post. Essentially, you're the bug who saw the flashing lights of the flame site, but didn't realize if you got too close you'd end up zapping yourself.

It was actually a pretty funny comment when you think about it.
