So in that PM from Raij I wonder if he is referring to the threads posted here about mods or if you posted something on the SoE forums about a mod?

That screenshot of the PM from Raijin concerns a post made on the EQ2 forums, and does not involve any posts made on this site.

What Raijinn is saying in his post is: "don't refer to any EQ2 forum mod by any name other than their official posting name on the SoE forums."

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Let's just say the posts from the last few days around here have garnered a little negative attention. Unless you post it at 3 am I don't see you getting this site linked on the SOE forums and LFG doesn't appear to want to cause problems anyways.

Posting about eqflames on the official forums violates this rule in their RoC:

"Advertise websites with content that violates these rules, the EverQuest II EULA, or the Station Terms of Service."

My guess is, it's not worth attempting. I doubt LFG needs all that much help getting his site our there outside of word of mouth and other non-SOE forums endorsements.

I knew the post would be deleted - no surprise there...

The fact that it was deleted BEFORE i submitted it... surprised me.

The update from hitting "submit post" was the update that gave me the "new message" warning.

The moderator had deleted the post based soly on the header, and without reading it.

I did some searches on EQ2flames on the main forums, and there was two posts that it found. But i think the searches where queued because when you go to the main thread, niether post was listed on it.

I'm not dumb enough to think they'd let the site run. But i was a bit surprised by thier powers of knowing what I was posting before i ever posted it.

Apperantly they can see what you type!! (or there is some kindof update??)

I doubt seriously the see what your typing as you're doing it. The subject header and maybe a link probably tripped off a red flag. They're watching you here, you know that right?

*waves at Raijinn and any other lurking moderators*

Hi guys! I really like the eq2 forums too but we can douchehat over here so it's fun too!

I really doubt they can see as you type either...

But i kid you not - I hit the submit button... and had a PM from a mod. I hadnt browesed anywhere else... The mod knew at least the title of the post before the thread was posted. (and i know they are watching us here... hence i wount name the mod.. lol)

Woah. Can anyone tell me EXACTLY how this site violates these things, yet all the fan sites advertising for IGE and other sites selling EQ2 plat, and guides concerning tradeskill macro programs, hacks, cheats etc. do not?

Because those other sites are linked and this one isn't. How is that consistent?

Smed did a blog sometime back thanking a company for turning down IGE advertising revenue.

Why does he find the "F" word to be more offensive than IGE advertising?

I actually think Smed would like it here. Hell, I'd give him a locked forum if he wanted one lol. Someone please tell him that screaming matches can be an effective management tool, and that the "F" word, when used by loyal fans, isn't as bad as companies who make their living selling prohibited items to your players.

Personally, I have no clue. Linking plat sales sites, IMO, is completely against the rules and should always be removed. The idea is, you cannot link sites that don't follow (roughly) the same rules as what are kept on the official forums. And I think it goes far beyond the use of the "F" word here. ;)
